Beautiful temple. You really go back into the 15-16th century looking at the ruins.
The nandi sculpture is magnificent and the Garuda theme park is also fun.
Nandi statue It is one of the largest single stone Nandi figure in India and it is said to be that it is largest of its kind in India. It is just 0.5kms from Lepakshi main shrine. Perfect spot for one day trip for Bangaloreans. Summer time is not recommended since it will be too humid.
Nice place!!!

At a distance of 500 m from Lepakshi Bus Stand and 500 m from Sri Veerabhadra Temple (Lepakshi Temple), Lepakshi Nandi (Bull) is one of the main attractions in Lepakshi and a well-known landmark for the tourism of Lepakshi. It was built during Vijayanagara period when the main Veerabhadra Temple was built.
The Lepakshi Nandi is made out of single granite. The monolithic Nandi sculpture is said to be the second largest monolithic structure in India after Gomateshwara in Shravanabelagola. It is 20 feet in height and 30 feet in length. The Nandi statue is decorated with a necklace, muvvalahara, a bell chain with small horns.
It is noticeable that the head of the bull is held aloft at a higher angle than usual. In addition, the expression of submission, which is typical of Nandi before Shiva, is not seen in the statue here.
This big granite bull is situated on the main road beside AP Tourism Haritha resort. It has been positioned such that it faces the 18 ft Nagalinga in Veerabhadra Temple Complex.
Huge single stone excellently sculptured Nandi. A nice park is maintained by the side to sit and relax.
Simply awesome...one of the largest monolithic , single stone Nandi in india....this is about 400m from the Lepakshi veerabhadra temple ...it supposedly looks straight at the 7 hooded serpent in the temple who guards the shiv ling...a must visit place just for the magnanimity of the architecture
Majestic !!
One of the biggest nadi statute and this one is quite different one, as we can see face is slightly upwards due to a sense of Maga Shiva linga in front of it.
This is located right next to main road which is goes towards lepakshi town/village and around 300-400 away from the main temple.
Basic amenities are present inside premises like drinking water , restrooms and small green garden and amole seating benches.
People can sit here and enjoy viewing the statue after coming from temple and near by jatayu park.
There should be a fence near Nandi to protect it! I have seen many people climbing it, this shouldn't be entertained!
Parking is available without cost.
The Lepakshi Nandi statue is truly mesmerizing. Carved from a single stone, it's a magnificent piece of ancient art. The intricate details and serene expression make it a must-see. A symbol of devotion and beauty, it's a captivating sight that leaves a lasting impression.
