Naam bade aur darshan chhote. Had heard a lot about this place and its food. But my experience was not good. Had to wait for 30 minutes for my order. Many food items were not available. Price of regular food was too high like Lassi for 220, or samosa for 45 raj kachori for 250. People visiting places hold better devour food stalls.
Food was very good.. you should try their special sweets.. it looks like a sweet shop, however an AC restaurant there inside. There are lot of foreigners are there and it is one of the oldest restaurant ( claiming started around 1700s). The service was very good and fast. You must try once. The only disadvantage the hotel located in the street ( pink city), no parking space available. It is known as LMB.
We visited the place twice, one for evening snack and one for breakfast. During our snack visit the only special available was shahi samosa, which was extremely spicy, I couldn't take more than one bite of it. Could taste some raw form of chilli in it.
For breakfast I felt it was an overpriced option charging 275/- for a plate of poori subzi. Even tea was costing 95/- for one, which wasn't even upto the mark.
It's a proper maintain restaurant and sweet Shop in Jaipur . First of all u have to give a order then they will provide you a token and take the token to another counter fr getting ur food . It's a famous shop in Jaipur .
This is a must visit place. The oldest Restaurant in Jaipur, probably India. Started in 1727 and still running. And the food is great with ambient lighting and super welcoming staff!
Visited the restaurant section for lunch ( has a bakery which sells chats, sweets which looked amazing)
Location:
The place is located in a prime location of the city along the bazar area.
Food -
Rajasthanj Thali
This is was my first time having a Rajasthani thali and the thali tasted really good! Botti with dal and sweets was a really great combo.
Kodi withrice also tasted great. All the items provided tasted authentic.
Price for a single thali was 720 rupees. Even though they provided unlimited serving of any item in the dish. The price is still quite high. For someone who eats a lot maybe they can cover the cost
Food Rates are way to high due to it's history and location, apart from this all other things are okay...
we tried Shahi Thal which is not worth it,
Ghevar is awesome,
Raj Kachori not worth it.
Fantastic place for all foodies and family friendly. Mouth watering and finger licking food , snacks , sweets and egg less bakery items.
Serving locals and Indian and foreign tourists since long time.
If you are in Jaipur , find some to Dine in for a snack or A meal.
