L E A Canteen - Fast food restaurant in Dharwad - Dharwad, India

Super duper place! We visited this place after someone's recommendation and it was amazing. We tried Girmit, Tuppad Avalakki, masala butter toast, masala khara and Jolada vada. I loved Tuppad Avalakki very much, which I felt is the version of Dadpe Pohe with Ghee, and shev on top. Absolutely recommend, must try

It is more than seven decades old canteen in Dharwad. Crowded most of the time. Famous for its unique dishes. I Enjoyed eating Ghee avalakki, Chilli bonda, Girmit, Masale mandakki and Bread toast. Food is tasty and reasonably priced, Tables are clean, Staff are good. Good place to enjoy light snacks with family and friends.

This place is extremely crowded Have tried tuppad avalakki Which is light and tangi Vada is Highly recommended They give it with a variety of chutney and curd which is extremely tasty Won't suggest mirchi Good place for evening snacks

one of the best canteen i have been so far. we tryed ghee poha, mirchi bajji , poori baaji, jowar poori, garlic mixture, bred tost, all are excellent. must go for any food lover .once u try their food u I'll know why they have such a good rating on Google.

- Accessible easily as it is behind the district court . To be precise it is attached to the compound of the RLS Compound and located Near Corporation Circle, Maratha Colony. - Very reasonable quick snack and lunch place is L.E.A Canteen. 4 people can easily have stomach full snacks for 250/- rupees. - Tuppad Avalakki ( Avalakki soaked and mixed with ghee and jaggery) is a must try thing when you are in L.E.A Canteen . The service is quick and I am sure you will not be happy with just 1 . So be ready to order 2 nos. :-) - One another dish that you must try here is Jolada Vade ( Jowar Vada ) . They are served hot and fuffy. So one must give it a try and you will feel satisfied to the core. You will enjoy the vada when you eat with the red chatni and the curd that are served. You will feel a great sense of satisfaction once you have it. If you are visiting here on a 2 wheeler then the parking may be easy. But you will find a little challenging to park the 4 wheelers. Overall a must visit place if you are wanting to explore eateries in Dharwad. 3 cheers for maintaining their authenticity and hygiene.

This is a 70+ years old eatery. This offers breakfast and snacks. This has an old school charm to it. They even have a family section in the hotel which used to be very common in the 80s and 90s. My personal favourite was tuppada avalakki. It has a tinge of tanginess from the lemon, and sweetness from the sugar and definitely the crunch factor comes from the sev that they top this dish with while serving. They even serve onion pakoda, bread toast, idli vada,dosas, poori sabji, uppit and sheera to name a few in the morning for breakfast. Bread toast has a unique chutney pudi topping and is served with loads of buffalo butter. Even though everything we tried was yummy, I personally felt that it was a tad bit on the higher pricing scale.

Awesome place if you love some authentic North Karnataka food. Their thuppa avalakki is the best and very very fast moving item in the canteen. They have mensinkayi bajji, jolada vadi , girmitti and nice bread toasts , which are completely toasted with ghee and served with chutney pudi and sauce.

Good one only pure veg and Sunday holiday.
