The dam is very nice to see. Here you can go boating. Click some pictures and explore the place. Here you might find many monkeys. Overall, the place is great if you love to do some water stuff like boating or kayaking etc. This place was a bit crowded when I visited. The place is great if you like to explore new places. It's a scenic place where you can spend some quality time with your family or friends. Not overly crowded. One can venture in the catchment waters in a row boat, kayak or paddle boat. This dam dries up completely in summer. So plan accordingly.

Dam is small with two gates and other side water storage. Beautiful place to spend time with a cup of tea. Nice place lot of eateries are there for tea and snacks.

It's a nice place to sit and relax and can also take your kids for horse riding or boating. Riding bike on the dam is a nice experience. Small shops are available to buy any food items. It's a soothing place and it's on mid way to top station.

The dam (known as Setuparvatipuram Dam as well) is the first hydroelectric project in Kerala. View is truly nice. Also, it's quite peaceful. You can tender coconut and other kids toy shops over there. You can also notice monkeys on the way to the dam from parking.

Personally it is one of the best lakes in munnar ! It was very neat and clean . Well maintained by government instead of the tourism and also a good thing not allowing tourists to enter into those waters to play ! You can do some boating activities or sit, relax and enjoy the beauty !
