I'm a Tiru local and Kumbakonam degree filter coffee is the best coffee place in all of Tiruvannamalai! And affordable too! They serve South Indian filter coffee in the truest sense of the word. I've been a customer since they opened doors back in 2013. Back then the coffee was priced Rs10 and now it's Rs15. I'm not really sure what level of detail goes into the coffee making process but the end product is simply delectable! The coffee has a caramel like taste to it and even a stronger cup won't taste bitter even in the slightest! Coffee is served in brass tumblers, as is tradition. I usually order a strong coffee and they know how to make it perfectly. The staff here are polite and extremely courteous. They'll customize your order as per your needs. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating. Please note that it falls on the Girivalam path and hence it's always crowded. They have a token system to buy coffee. Best to be avoided on Full Moon nights as it's going to be chaos. They also close shop once a month, after Full moon nights, having worked the whole night! I'm an absolute fan of their coffee and always drop by on my morning bicycle rides for a cuppa. Must visit place for coffee connoisseurs. I'm yet to taste a filter coffee that can match the level of this place anywhere else in TN or Bangalore! Definitely worth coming to if you're ever in Tiruvannamalai and walking pradakshina.

One of the best Filter coffees in Thiruvannamalai! Though this place serves only coffee (there is no Tea served here), do try out their rose milk and evening snack items. The place can get crowded in the evenings, but the coffee here is worth waiting for!
