Kumaragiri Lake - Lake in Salem - Salem, India

Serene view of the lake is amazing. Lake is nearly at the bottom of hills around which looks so pleasing. People's favourite spot for walking and stretching. Little play area for children is there. Lake rejuvenation is in progress by Social activist Mr. Piyush Manush & Salem citizens forum. Pretty outside the city. No designated parking available here.

Nice for walking place

It's not now what we used see in the picture. It's very bad and not sure what they are trying to do. It's loss for people and nature

Situated in a surroundings of calm atmosphere and light growth of grasses and people we can find solace in the mechanical boring sound of transportation around Salem. Breeze from the lake, seeing occasional elderly walkers can sooth our minds.

Lake was fully covered with water hyacinth when visited in Nov 2021. Was disappointed.
