KTDC Restaurant (County Cuisine - Multi Cuisine) - Restaurant in Munnar - Idukki, India

They only had buffet lunch. And most of the items starting from the soup were big disasters. They had no clue on how to prepare these items. Burnt chapathis were kept with the name phulka. Felt like going in the kitchen and teaching them how to make that simple dish. After trying and failing a few i itial items, we finally settled with some good old plain rice and dal fry. + Aloo fry and some fish curry. Having only buffet lunch also meant there was a lot of wastage happening. There was not much of a crowd. They could have saved so much food from being wasted by giving an alacart option. Simply wasting government money and overcharging customers for no good.

I'll get straight to the point - it's terrible. The property looks amazing from outside so you might think the restaurant will serve good food. It does not. Let me preface this by saying - I am a Bengali, so I might have certain preferences. But I also really enjoy Kerala cuisine in general. We ordered a chicken biryani, beef chilly and Malabar parottas - what arrived was a huge plate of over-spiced rice that was SWEET. never in my life have I tasted sweet biryani. I couldn't eat it at all. Even raita could not save it. The beef chilly was NOT Kerala style for some reason - rather a weird type of Sweet & sour Chinese beef gravy. Again, horrible. It was like we were eating sweet beef chutney. Overall - I'm very sorry to say the food was just so bad it made me regret visiting Munnar.

Food was ok not great. Didn't stay only had lunch. We were the only one in dinning hall at peak lunch hours. Location is great. Property is grand, and maintained too. But lost its glorious years. As there was much better option available, with better amenities in similar prices.

The food at this is good. You can choose different varieties from many menu options. Love the service at the place and the chef is so friendly with the guests.

The restaurant offers a beautiful ambience and is well designed. The service is good. But somehow it is felt the restaurant menu requires to be improved with a wider variety.

Great food, one of the best restaurants I've visited in Munnar. From starters to main courses to coffee, everything was savory. A must visit place

Great food. Superb interiors. Pleasant atmosphere. They have a bar as well (good for ladies too). Car parking is available. I went to the restaurant as an outsider, I didn't stay there. Good quantity of food served.

My visit to the restaurant was disappointing as the grilled chicken was not properly cooked and had a raw taste. Additionally, they overcharged for a can of Pepsi, pricing it at more than double its MRP. I hope they improve their food quality and pricing for a better dining experience.
