Superb trek. Amidst the lap of nature and serene with silence. The temple on the top is of utmost relief and peace of mind due to the cold floor in the mountains. Loved the trek

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! This place is a trekkers dream. No matter if you are a beginner or experienced this trek will have something for you. The trek starts with a steep road that quickly goes into a very enjoyable plain where you can see monkeys.

Mesmerizing view on the top of the hill. You'll have to hike for about 1.5-2 hours to see the beauty and the jaw dropping landscape. It is worth going to the top with friends and family. There are also many resorts near the hills. For the best experience, go during the monsoon season, but take care to not go just after extremely heavy rainfall as some part of the hill becomes muddy.

In the realm of outdoor adventure, mountains hold a special allure for thrill-seekers and nature enthusiasts alike. The act of climbing these majestic peaks not only challenges our physical capabilities but also rewards us with breathtaking natural views that leave an indelible impression on our souls. One such example is the mesmerizing sight of a mountain range stretching as far as the eye can see, with its rugged terrain and lush greenery serving as a testament to the raw beauty of nature. As climbers ascend higher, they are greeted with panoramic vistas that showcase nature's grandeur in all its glory. An additional element that adds to the allure of mountains is the presence of ancient forts perched atop their summits. These structures not only stand as testaments to human ingenuity and architectural prowess but also offer captivating views from their elevated positions. Climbing towards these forts allows adventurers to combine historical exploration with their love for natural beauty, creating a truly unique and enriching experience. Whether it's conquering towering peaks or marveling at awe-inspiring vistas, mountains have long captivated the hearts and imaginations of adventurers throughout history. The combination of challenging climbs, breathtaking natural scenery, and historic fortresses creates an irresistible lure for those seeking both physical and spiritual fulfillment in their quest for outdoor exploration.

One of the easiest Trek of Bhimashankar range, the summit can be reached from the base in an hour. Although the altitude gain is quick, it can be done with good breaks. The road to peth village is really bad, right now only off roading vehicles can reach upto peth village, else people have to park it in the plains.

Good trekking experience The view from top is heaven.. On the way u can also enjoy a waterfall Till peth village the way is pretty straight (typical hill station road with lots of turns and slopes sans vehicles). From peth village actual trekking starts. Its an awesome trek from thereon (not very difficult but yes a bit strenuous). We reached the fort (the top) in an hour and it was all scenic view from there, cool breeze taking away all your sweat

My 7th trek in Maharashtra was a pleasant experience, suitable for beginners as well. It took about 3-3:30 hours to reach the top from Ambivali village. The base village of Peth was beautiful, and we enjoyed our breakfast and lunch there. The trail was easy to navigate, with slippery sections at the fort's summit. On the top, you will find water tanks, intricately carved caves, temple, and cannons placed since the 13th century. Surprisingly, the fort was clean compared to others, and the crowd was manageable on weekends. During monsoons, the trek offered glimpses of waterfalls and fog. Highly recommended.

To reach till the base villlage of kothaligad there is nice road ahead of karjat. You can take your car up on off roading route if you have high ground clearance car or else you need to climb/walk that distance which is a long route. After the village on plateau there is a climb again. Best part is the stairs engraved inside the thumb shaped pinnacle. Those stairs are steep & narrow (bit risky for newcomers). As we are in clouds, we can't have a nice view from top but the feeling is worth all this effort. There are stalls of lime water & maggi in between the trek. Also a Cave before the thumb part. You can change your clothes at the base village, they charge 20rs per person. Overall a nice trek to go in the rainy and winter season.
