Well maintained and protected pond, which has religious importance as the Thriprayar thevar take bath in this pond during festival season. Situated along the left side of Kochi Panvel National Highway 66. The place got the name Kothakulam from the name of this pond.
A cute pond situated right next to the national highway 17. The place got it's name Kothakulam by the name of the pond itself. The pond has historical and religious importance as the Thriprayar thevar used to take baths in this pond. There are many ponds in this region and Kothakulam pond has it's charm. The pond gets full during the monsoon and it dries to a minimum water level in the summer.
Its in the west side of National Highway.
Pond name became place name. The place also locally called as Kothakulam Junction, Valapad Kothakulam, etc. West side road heads up to the Kothakulam beach. All buses going to north side and south side of Kerala will stop here.
A nice big pond in the sides of NH-66 at valapad. The location name is also Kothakulam.
My home place.Once a year Thriprayar thevar takes his holy bath here. Its one of the holy ponds in and around Thriprayar temple.
Kothakulam is the "Kulam" in the name of Kotha. Kulam means Pond. So Kothakulam includes Pond. Pond is known since decades.
