Kings City Residency - Hotel in Puducherry - Pondicherry, India

It was 2 lanes next to French colony decent location little congested rooms but for a medium range stay it fits. The service was good we were availed rooms at midnight and the location is very near to bus stand. It was very close to French Colony and white town on one side and to the MG Road market on the other side. Also, major restaurants and churches, railway station is not far. Also, the washroom was decent. The shower was really powerful. This matters a lot if you take a dip in sea, a bad shower could take you hours to get rid of the sand.

Very politely behavior of hotel staff.. Room's are cleaned, but location also good, rooms service are also available .. But price is lighter high it's negotiable Over all experience was good

So this hotel does have a good rating and may have good rooms but the room which I got was not that great. It was on the fifth floor. Lift was there till 4th floor and there was a literally a small wooden circular staircase to go the fifth floor. Room was small. It did have a even smaller hall. About 1 feet space was available on both side of the bed. It was not properly ventilated. One could not stay for 5 mins without the AC. We barely spend time in hotel during day, so that didn't affect us that much. Good points were its location. It was very close to French Colony and white town on one side and to the MG Road market on the other side. Also, major restaurants and churches, railway station is not far. Average hotel but so pricy. Room maintenance needs to be improved as mosquitoes live together and many doors and cupboard damages were there. No parking is available need to park somewhere on the not nearby road or the beachside and the beach distance is 1.5 km. So many restaurants and cafes and roadside shops available within walkable distance.

Best value for money no frills hotel. We just wanted to enjoy pondicherry more and less the hotel so selected the hotel mainly going by the reviews and the location. The location is the best part of this hotel as all the attractions like Aurobindo Ashram, promenade beach are all close by. Scooters/bikes for self drive are also available nearby, 200 meters from the hotel, with a rent of around 300-400rs. per day per bike. We had booked 4 double rooms for 7 of us and the rooms were decent size. Though the AC in one of the rooms were not working but we complained for the same and they fixed it soon. After the tiresome outing in pondicherry and the fun filled action at the beach, it was so refreshing and relieving to sleep in the rooms. Bedsheets and the room were all tidy. AC cooling was good. The best part was of the service was that the next day, on request, they let us keep our bags in the restaurant as we had a full day outing and we had already checked out at 10A.M. They let us do the same, and let us charge the phones for some time and also let us use the washrooms for refreshment at 8P.M. at night when we came to collect our bags before we departed for boarding the return bus. Kudos for the hospitality !!

Located about a mile from railway station, the hotel can be reached easily. The room was clean and air conditioned, the TV was in working condition, hot water was available 24/7. The room is perfect for a single individual but too small for a family. I found the staff to be hospitable and understanding. I wanted to check-in a bit early as I had arrived early but they had no issues. They also helped me rent a two wheeler.
