History, art, folklore through dollops of lifetime of passion by an individual. Loads of historical artefacts squeezed in rather small place though the house itself is a traditional Kerala style home. Wish they get a 10 times bigger space to display all the exhibits in a relaxed way with some explanation of each one including the era and the significance. Exhibits displayed in 3 floors range from cookware, jewellery, idols in wood and stone, Hindu/ Christian/ Mughal religion building entrance, lamps and other artefacts. Parking in front of entrance. Shoe racks for depositing shoes and seats to wear comfortably. Toilets in the back have sign that mainly meant for men. Entrance fee Rs 100 per person and Rs 100 extra to use camera.

This place is GREAT! I'm from Philippines and I really appreciated my visit here. The people in charge are very accomodating and kind. The place itself is truly historical. I can't believe they were able to preserve such ancient collections. Thank you for the awesome experience!

Awesome collection of artifacts from across the southern states of south India . You can see many different kinds of paintings, statues , scriptures and vintage relics . You can buy few things as well - they have one floor dedicated to excess stuff that is antique . Also you can buy locals art stuff and gold plated jewellery with semi precious stones .

Folkfore museum. I am not a museum going person but I found this place really interesting and full of art from ancient to modern times. Must visit for every Indian. Entry fee rs 100 per person. Rs 100 extra to take pics inside museum.

I was looking forward to this, but was severely disappointed. The fees are very high and I had to pay 100 rupees more to take pictures. Yet, everybody took pictures and nobofy checked if you paid the fee for that. Also the museum is more of an eclectic array of antiques and statues. There are little to non descriptions. So most of the time you have no idea what you are looking at or why it is there. On some floors you can even buy som of the artifacts. So is it just a store with a museum as a side hustle? Do not recommend!

It's a must in order to experience local culture. You can observe, not only Kerala elements, but also from other regions of Southern India. Please, don't compare it with other museums that are state-supported. This is a private initiative held only by the willingness of a family. They deserve to be supported through the visit, which takes something around one hour. If you're in Fort Kochi, take a bus to New Bridge. From there you can take a bus to the museum.

Lots of very interesting and nice looking items. But they are not organized in a meaningful style. The place is packed with items and looks more like an antique shop than a museum. It's worth visiting though.
