I had an amazing time at the art and craft exhibition! While I initially went to see the art and craft exhibits, I was pleasantly surprised by the painting exhibits. The paintings were surreal, and the overall atmosphere of the place felt like a vibe. A truly memorable experience!

An amazing place to spend some quality time. I have been here during the craft and art exhibition where there are about 100 shops displaying something special. There are no entry fees. There is also an Art mart and an amazing collection of paintings in the museum mostly depicting the culture of Karnataka. Art lovers will enjoy it here. Entry fee for the museum is Rs10. There is a Kamath hotel in the premises. Overall it was a great experience and is a must visit

The museum holds very good collection of Indian folk paintings, Mysore paintings are best of all. Just for 10rs entry fees had very good time. There is also open craft exhibition going on till month end. Restrooms are clean. Premises has kamath canteen , food is good for a reasonable price. Must visit place.

An interesting place to spend some time over the weekend. You can check the happenings online and decide if that's something interesting. There are no entry fees. Went for the craft bazaar and art exhibition, and it was a nice experience. The security at the gate is not very helpful, they selectively allow cars inside even though the parking is empty he would say it's full.

It was an amazing experience to walk through such amazing pieces of art that are exquisite and unique in every manner. Truly a wonderful experience. Would recommend people to visit here and spend quality time to observe and grasp in every minute detail of the sculptures, paintings and other stuff.

The exhibition held in Sept 2023 was a One stop solution for all fancy home needs. Minimalist curtains, rajasthan rajais, porcelain items, biodegradable mugs, Dussehra dolls,ethnic accessories and apparels, Brass idols, jute bags,handmade art, Desi achars and many more fancy and Instagrammable items were for sale.

Absolute delight for art lover and otherwise. For me the place is special, because interestingly i met my life partner here. For us this place has a different meaning. We keep going back to Chitrakala Parishat quite often. And yes chitrasanthe is the favorite time to go

Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath (Kannada: krnaattk citrklaa prisst) is a visual art complex located in Bangalore. The complex has 18 galleries. 13 of these galleries carry a permanent collection of paintings, sculptures and folk art. The other galleries are rented out for exhibitions of works by artists of repute. The folk art collection showcases Mysore paintings and leather puppets. The Parishat runs the College of Fine Arts, a visual arts college. Each January, the Parishath organizes Chitra Santhe, a cultural event showcasing affordable art to the public. The motto of the event is "Art for All". The Parishath started off on a two-and-a-half acres of land leased by the Government of Karnataka, with initial donations from H. K. Kejriwal, an industrialist. Svetoslav Roerich donated several of his paintings and those of his father Nicholas Roerich to the Parishath. In 1964, Nanjunda Rao's Chitrakala Vidyalaya was added to the Parishath. In 1966, it obtained recognition as an art-centre by the state and national Lalit Kala Akademi. The Parishath pioneered a survey of the Karnataka state's art treasures such as the famous Mysore paintings. In time, the Parishath added galleries and a graphic studio, making it into a full-fledged art complex. In 1995, Kejriwal donated his family's art collection, which was displayed in spacious galleries in the Parishath. In 1998-99, a sculpture gallery was added to the Parishath complex. An open-air theatre to cater to the needs of the visual and performing artists is also present. In 2003, two more large galleries for international and folk art were inaugurated
