Karai Lakshmi Mess - Family restaurant in Karaikal - Karaikal, India

MUST VISIT SPOT- Excellent home style food. If you're anywhere near this place I'd suggest you to go there. It's absolutely worth the drive. Though it might be difficult to find parking in the cross road it is in, you can easily find parking in the bylanes as it's not a very crowded area and is in a residential area. Fish meals and mutton meals are value for money. Each meal comes with two sides on its own. For a 300 rupee fish meal you get two pieces of fish fry, a thick gravy with a single piece of fish and multiple other gravies to go along with it. Service is excellent and food is on your leaf even before you ask for it. Complimentary paan and mouth fresheners after the meal is also a great thing. The mutton meals also came with a plate of mutton sukka and a plate of kola urundai. End the meal with a goli soda and you're all set. The place is very clean once you're inside even though it looks like a hut from outside.

Homely spicy food. Prawn and squid masala were tasty and perfectly cooked. Very minimal prices for sea food. Parking nearby the hotel is the only constraint. But, it is worth visiting this place. The service is too good.

They have chettinadu meals with different non veg dishes. Food and ambience were average. May because of high expectations from the reviews. Too much crowded. Giving four stars for their behaviour.

Good seafood place..fish curry,fish fry,prawns thokku,

I took a parcel of 4 items : kola urundai , mutton chukka, kanava gravy (tasteless!) and vanjaram meen (was very fresh) I clearly said it was for 3 persons but they gave me a very small package of 2 fish curry! And one chicken gravy! The quantity is very poor. I spend 850rs for all of this... and i'm not satisfied! The price was very high... poor quantity and some tasteless food. I don't recommend this mess sorry.

Last week we just went to the karai Lakshmi mess. Taste wise it's too good even price also good. After complete our lunch we had opportunities to met the owners of mess they explained very well about they food items they showed they kitchen . Must try taste and money worthy. Small suggestion to the owners don't not open any franchise shops surely it will spoile ur name.

A wonderful restaurant. All non veg side dishes are available and tasty. Made in homely style. Kind aproch from the staffs. Usually my parents (71 years aged) will face stomach trouble whenever they eat outside foods even in home delivery or in outing. But after ate the Karai lakshmi mess lunch they felt comfortable and no health issues. Thank u Karai Lakshmi Mess!
