Deluxe ac retiring room at Kanpur Central is the best and safest place to stay at an affordable price for a return journey and a day's business trip. The room size is too big with double ac and two big sofa sets and a center table. Large bathroom with cold and hot water. But beware of giant formidable intelligent invisible rats. They will eat up your food if kept on the center table. The caretakers will not provide you with bed and pillow covers if not asked for.

It's about people's attitude and manners. Few people disturbed all and service management people were helpless. Seats are fine and need more charging points.

Very good neat and clean rooms and most important thing is that it is situated at Kanpur Central railway station plateform 1. Staff is very friendly and rooms are well maintained and very much affordable than any OYO.

Staff is slow. Washrooms and not clean and old. Also i found broken glass crystals on my bed

Nice experience with IRCTC retiring rooms facilities

Hi Friends, One most important thing to share on Retiring rooms here is that it opens post 8 Am in the morning. So traveller's with late night checking or early morning checkin may not get the facility available. Charges are Rs 135 for 12 hr.

Retiring room/Dormitory is available at kanpur railway station. One can avail the facility of dormitory by booking online on IRCTC website or at the spot on railway station. Dormitory bed is subject to availability. For booking you need a valid reservation ticket which have PNR number, with any reservation ticket you can book dormitory even second seating reservation ticket will do the job. I will suggest to book online because it may get full anytime.
