This place deserves totally a 5/5 but for the location of restaurant, not on the main road but a little inside the street. Food quality vs. the pricing is great. One plate of two poories + chana + two types of potatoes curry + aachaar only for a cost of Rs. 120 with that you get unlimited supply of chana & potatoes curry. Even Lassi is coated with malai on top. Even if you are in Amritsar for a day, this place is not worth missing at all.
There is always a queue to enter this place. This is popular for its Puri. The game changer is the sweet potato curry. I was spellbound after having this .
I went there on my Amritsar trip after hearing some great reviews from people and it didn't disappoint.
The puri's are made in pure desi ghee and is delicious. It is served with spicy chole and the tangy launji. The attending person is very calm and polite and the service is also appreciable. Don't miss out on the Lassi post your breakfast.
The prices are very reasonable, making it an excellent value for money.
Overall, Kanha Sweets is a great place to indulge in traditional Punjabi cuisine, and highly recommended for anyone visiting Amritsar.
If you are in Amritsar, you must come here for breakfast. It's one of the famous breakfast points and food here is fabulous.
Poori Chole comes with tangy, sweet aloo ki sabji.
The Halwa is made of ghee and Gud (jaggery)
The lassi is very good too.
This is not a restaurant so don't bother about the ambience.
You have to take a coupon from a guy standing near to the sitting area, the waiting time here is around 10 mins. Also, the payment has to be done inside sitting area.
It's one of the famous joint to have Puri , sabzi and chole. Do try their lassi and gud ka halwa( Jaggery halwa) , best puri and halwa ever. There is waiting during the weekend, service is fast .
Recommending 5 stars for the food they serve. Eat Puri with chickpeas deep-fired on pure Desi ghee. The food was so filling and finger licking. Recommended place for having Sunday Puri Chana.
Good food. Mango lassi was good tasted liked liquified Amrakhand. Plain lassi is better than mango lassi. Sweets in the shop looked yummy but we did not try any. Poori and Chana was good. Chana is on spicier side. Aloo sabzi is tangy. Good combination of spices overall. Do try when in the city. We were traveling and decided to eat here for breakfast. Reviews speak for the food here. Overall the restaurants in Amritsar are low on hygiene and this is no exception I cut out 1 star for it. Tables and chair were unclean.
A great place to have breakfast and lunch. Amritsari Puri is a must try which is served with Chhole and tangy Alu sabzi. Available till 3 PM only. Mango Lassi is also good.
Also tried their Gur ka Halwa and Mawa Malpua which were both good.
