Kalyanakatta is the place where devotees devote their Hair in service of the Lord. This practice has been there for centuries. Here both men and women shave their heads and offer their hairs to the beloved God Venkateshwara (Tirupati Balaji). Loot Kalyanakatta is a well maintained and huge complex consist of number of barbers to shave the heads of devotees and a ticket or token system has been arranged with proper queue management. At these token counters devotees provided token and the blade for each of them. After taking token devotees has to go to the designated barber and shaves the heads. If any devotee doesn't want to shave the head & only want to offer few hairs then without taking blades they can go to barbers and ask them to do so. But here also barbers ask pilgrims for money in the name of seva. Although they are getting salaries from TTD. TTD need to take actions on them. There are large number of bathrooms are available here at Kalyanakatta complex to take bath. Separate bathroom complex are there for ladies and gents. Bathrooms are clean and maintained well. Although some of them are not working properly.

I will visit lord venkateshwara every year once.Silathoranam, a natural arch and a distinctive geological wonder is located in Tirumala Hills at a distance of 1 km (0.62 mi) from Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. The arch measures 8 m in width and 3 m metres in height and is eroded out of quartizite of Cuddapah Supergroup of Middle to Upper Proterozoic by weathering agents such as water and wind. Sri Venkateswara Brahmotsavams celebrated every year during September/October is the most important festival in Tirumala when it receives lakhs of devotees over a short span of a nine days.The city celebrates all major Hindu festivals including Sankranti,Ugadietc. Vaikunta Ekadasi, the day on which it is believed that Vaikunta Dwarams will be opened, is celebrated in Tirumala.

It's thirupati temple there was so many you want see Swami venkatasa you must weight in a big que and inside the temple the food cost are ery high so kindly pack the food and come to temple

It tooks around 3+ hrs only for tonsured here have to wait in queue for a long time to get the token and have to go to the person there also a small queue will be there

The building where the tonsuring is done is names Kalyana Katta. The cleaning is done after every 5 minutes, so it was hygienic contrary to my expectations. The process is as follows: As soon as you enter the building you take a token as per the length of hair cutting. With the token, you are provided with a blade for head-shaving(should you choose to shave your head). Then you enter the hall, where haircutting process takes place. They would ask you wet your hair under a water tank in the same hall. There are both, male and female staff for both the gender visitors. They cut your hair with the blade assigned to you and then you can leave.
