Kalinga Veg Gourmet Kitchen - Vegetarian restaurant in Pune - Pune, India

Kalinga Veg Gourmet Kitchen is a newly opened place on Level 4 situated near Mehendale Garage, Erandawane. Its a basically multicuisine restaurant serving lipsmacking serving North Indian, Asian, European and Indian delicacies alongwith some of the best drinks curated by the famous bartender and mixologist Shatbhi Basu. The ambience is really beautiful with some fine classy wooden tables. This place had always been in my bookmarks since its opening and finally i got the chance to try it out for dinner few days back. Coming to food we tried :- SOUP :- 1. Tomato Bisque 2. Asian Wonton STARTERS :- 1. Paneer 65 2. Paneer Chhole Triangles 3. Wild Mushroom Croquettes 4. Thai Banana Wrap 5. Crispy Lotus Stem 6. Flaky Onion Pancake MAINS :- 1. Vilayti Sabzi 2. Pulled Bhuna Kathal Wrap 3. Shaslik Rissoto 4. Phad Thai 5. Multigrain Roti 6. Vegetable Lasagne DESSERTS :- 1. Filter Coffee Crepes 2. Ice Cream Falooda Overall :- All the dishes were tasty and droolworthy.I would recommend each and every dish that is mentioned above. The staff is extremely co-operative and do their jobs exceptionally well.I hope to try out more dishes as the menu is vast and seems really good. The go-to place for an enticing variety of Indian Gourmet Cuisines !! Its fulfilling essence and Fine Dining makes it the perfect place for all the Veg gourmands to dine in !!

My experience here was pretty nice. The ambience is good from inside. Outside of the hotel is just like a city restaurant which you probably expect from city restaurant. The hotel is just by the street. They offer various cuisines. Mexican,Italian,Chinese,Indian. Pardon me if I miss on something. Indian cuisine is not there in the number you would expect from an Indian restaurant. Indian Cuisine are not very limited but yes its was limited to some extent. Overall the restaurant is a good place to visit. No harm in visiting once. The price is not inexpensive but that is okay for the restaurant like this in the city like pune. The cost of pizza was 320. I think that is fair enough. According to me one should not regret on price. Thank you !

ABOUT THE STAFF An honored staff who are happy to serve to ! staff and Prompt service ABOUT THE FOOD From drinks to starters to mains to desserts , kalinga is best at whatever it offers ! DRINKS : BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE SHAKE I would personally recommend this shake ! The best of the best. The combination of cheese and cream with flavoured blueberry says it all ! DATES AND JAGGERY COLADA Dates and jaggery , two of the sweetest known sweeteners and yet the colada wasn't too sweet , it was equally balanced. BLUEBERRY AND BASIL ICED TEA Definitely one of the most refreshing iced tea I have ever tried. Also quantity wise , the tea is reasonable and worth trying. STARTERS : CHOLE PANEER TRIANGLE Seasoned Pindi chole and fresh chunks of paneer stuffed in samosa Patti topped with mixed masalas and chutneys . BUTTER BROCCOLI Butter florets marinated with fresh yogurt and cream , cooked in tandoor. Something different and tasty MAC AND CHEESE POPPERS Who doesn't like the combination of fried and crisp poppers loaded with Mac and cheese pull ! Too good ! PERI PERI ARBI TUK Kalinga is so far the only place in Pune that serves this appealing arbi tuk ( roots of arbi ) this delicious and healthy ! MAINS : PO'BOY GOES GREEN I really like the concept of how Po'boy , a non-vegetarian dish is turned into a vegetarian one by giving it an innovative name ! It tasted so good , one would actually consider it over the one which is non-vegetarian ! KOYLA DAL MAKHANI WITH MULTIGRAIN ROTI Rich , Creamy Dal Makhani with extra ghee cooked over stove is one of the best koyla Dal makhani I have ever had ! BBQ PIZZA Pizza is forever love especially when it's topped with smoked cottage cheese , jalapenos and Chipotle chillies topped with soft paneer chunks . MANCHURIAN BAO The one thing that everybody loves having is Manchurian and Manchurian within a bao is just like cherry on the cake ! DESSERTS : RED VELVET AND COCONUT ICE-CREAM Kalinga serves these amazing red velvet and coconut homemade ice creams which are very delish ! KULFI FALOODA Rose milk full of Jelly , sabza , nuts , rabdi , kulfi , everything that a falooda must be ! Must try . The best falooda in Pune.

An ultimate place for all the veg food lovers out there! They have lot of options in starters, main course, mocktails and everything. We ordered masala papad, bhav nagari mirchi chaat, paneer sabji, garlic naan, roomali roti, thai green curry and rice, jeera rice and dal tadka and each and everything was delicious. Staff is really very friendly and helpful. Ambience is decent and they have taken care of cleanliness. To our surprise, prices were very pocket friendly. Planning to visit once again!

I have been waiting really long to visit this place and now finally I visited the place. I visited the Kalinga last evening and the vibe you get is amazing. One thing which I liked the most was there customized menu where dishes pics are displayed so you can choose easily. I had ordered the Dal Pakwaan and Fried Mozzarella and pulled bhuna kathal. It was super delicious. Pulled bhuna kathal was scrumptious one of the fines dish not to miss out there, Honestly, I was looking forward to the desert also because I have heard a lot and was a bit hungry so tried theirs. so tied ice cream of this place. I had coconut made ice cream, it was so creamy, sweet and tangy and had the fresh taste. If you are looking for veg restaurant Kalinga is the best choice for you with fine dining and awesome food. Their Icecream pastries are highly recommended along with Dal Pakwaan. 5 star for ambiance and customized menu !!!!

This vegetarian restaurant is located in Erandwane, Pune. It's a nice place with good ambience suitable for all kinds of get togethers. The staff are very friendly and courteous too. So here is a description of what I tried in this place: _Mocktails_ Date and Jaggery Colada: Well this is the first time I tried a mocktail like this and I must say it was quite impressive. Blueberry Cheesecake Shake: Well this drink was a bit on the heavier side which made me feel that I was full. Otherwise it's a good one. Cucumber and Curry Leaf Lemonade: Now coming to this drink, it was very refreshing with the hint of Curry leaves which gave a different effect. Pineapple Yuzu and Jalapeno Sour: This drink was a bit on the sour side and was quite good. _Soups_ Asian Wonton: This soup was very good in taste and best suited for winter evenings. Tender Coconut and Corn: This was the first time I tried this kind of a soup. It's quite nice but one must develop it's taste to love it. _Appetizers_ Mac N Cheese Chili Poppers: These were very yummy and perfect to lick start an amazing meal. Crispy Lotus Stem: This is the second time I have tried and lotus stem dish and I must say I am getting aligned to it's taste. Chhole Paneer Triangle: These were also very good with the perfect balance of spices. Thai Banana Leaf Wrapped Paneer: I am not much a fan to Thai cuisine but this dish was very yummy. And the unique way in which it was wrapped in banana leaf gave it a very impressive look. _Pizza_ Ortalano Pizza: This pizza was a treat to the taste buds. It is actually an answer to the pizza cravings. Roast Veggies: The roasted veggies were very good with enough spices and cooked properly _Mains_ Burmese Khao Suey: This Burmese style dish which comprised of noodle and various other spices just amazed me. Mac N Cheese Bake: Baked Mac and cheese is my all time favorite and this one here didn't fail to satisfy my. _Desserts_ (Izzat ka) Falooda: The Falooda here is quite good and perfectly sweet. One can surely order this dish if here. Overall this is a very nice place and must be visited atleast once for some amazing veg delicacies.

We have tried so many restaurant for veg but all the time we just look for Paneer and roti but Kalinga is complete package they are the Best restaurant for Veg. And they do have a Bar and the Lady Bartender Shatbhi Basu,India's First lady Mixologist is really amazing. You can try there Cocktails made by her. Definitely the best . Kalinga Veg Gourmet kitchen is a must visit for everyone..even people who never prefer to eat veg food outside. The place is located in Erandwane (Kothrud) and will redefine your perception of veg food. There is so much more to veg food than Paneer and Pulao and Kalinga Veg Gourmet has unending options to bowl you over with their gourmet veg food offerings. I was there last week and was awestruck with the magnanimity of the place. Abhishek and Amrita Shetty own the place and there are various offerings within the premises with Kalinga Veg Gourmet being one of them and located on ground and second floor. The place greets you with cartoons by Mario Miranda (famous Goan cartoonist) on the walls and since I am a fan I was hooked on to it. Let me get to the dishes I really loved and would highly recommend: Blueberry Cheeseshake: Thick shake with fresh blueberry flavors to it. They use fresh fruits and not syrup to make their shakes. That was a great start, eh!? Tender coconut and corn soup: Clear soup made in coconut water and not normal water, lots of veggies and no cornflower. Super taste and healthy. Mexican Bhel: Nice and spicy, the quantity surprised me..a real value for money dish. While we are at that, the pricing here is very very reasonable for the quality they offer. Dal Pakwan was next, I am a lover of this dish and there are very few places that serve it. Absolutely amazing taste - tangy, spicy, a bit sweet - all in one bite.. fab!! Spicy sticky chestnuts: Something that we don't have regularly, a very good dish, I almost wiped off the plate. BBQ Pizza was a delight. Thin crunchy crust, lots of greens, sauce, cheese and the smokey flavor was so distinct. A must have!! Gnocchi Gratin: Gnocchi is pasta consisting of various soft and thick dough dumplings. The taste was wonderful. It was my first Gnocchi experience and I highly recommend that you try this. We ended with red velvet icecream and Kulfi Falooda, both of which were amazing but a special mention for the Falooda. I can stick my neck out and say that this is the best falooda in town and I will travel distance to have this. Overall a great place to dine be it a dinner date or with family. Parking is not an issue with the place boasting of their own automated multilevel parking with 80 slots (probably only restaurant in Pune which has this parking facility). The service is quick and staff is helpful.
