Kakolat Waterfall - Tourist attraction in Ektara - Nawada, India

Some construction is going on there, that's why many people are saying it's closed, but we have gone there recently. Due to the construction of that place a very few people were there, we had to walk for 30 minutes to reach there cause the road was blocked with bamboo. There's a small pathway from the side of bamboo from where we can enter. But be careful with your kids cause the areas around the waterfall are not fully constructed yet. Also better recommended to carry your food items by your own cause there were no dhabas or restaurants nearby.

There is no need of ticket but you have to pay only for parking which is being managed by local people. You will get food there as there is no big restaurant but Dhabas. Beauty of this amazing waterfall and this palce is indescribable. You will be glad to be there. Yes, Govt should provide some more facilities and need more development of the place. But the waterfall is wonderful. Don't go in rainy season. I'm posting some old photos. I've went there many times.

The natural waterfall and serene surroundings were a total bliss. Makes for a great outing for a family holiday. However, the maintenance of the place, be it by the authorities or the locals, is absolutely in perils. People were using soaps, shampoos, brushing and even washing utensils in the water itself. There were no amenities for toilets or changing rooms. Plastic trash was lying everywhere. If it goes like this, the place will soon become a plastic dumpyard. P.S. - Be a responsible tourist and don't add up to the trash already present.
