The place has amazed me with its spectacular and soothing view of nature. The road to the plateau is equally beautiful with fog, cold and the fresh Breeze during monsoon. Monsoon is the best time to visit this place as there are well known waterfalls around. It also has very good resorts for stay as people from all over Western Maharashtra visit it often.
Kaas Plateau is a breathtaking floral haven in Maharashtra, India. During the monsoon season, it transforms into a riot of colors, with wildflowers covering the landscape in vibrant hues. Walking among these blooms and enjoying the serenity of Kaas Lake was a truly enchanting experience. A must-visit for nature lovers and photographers, this UNESCO World Heritage site offers a glimpse into the natural beauty and biodiversity of the Western Ghats
We went there end of September.. very beautiful place. You will find variety of flowers here. This place called flowers valley. If we visit on week days you'll find less crowd. You need to park your vehicle and need to use transport provided there. You can book tickets online very easily. Well maintained and well organized. Parking is available. You can enjoy very beautiful views from mountain
Mesmerizing beauty. Experience the nature just 3 hours drive from Pune.
The flowers, the weather, the rains, the clouds, the fog etc.... all worth experiencing.
Highly recommend this place for family.
Note: No network connectivity. Once you reach the place, please ensure you stay together.
This is the best time to come and enjoy it. It will be more beautiful than heaven if you have the right perspective. Come and take advantage of this incredibly attractive view. Best time to visit September second week to October end..
Kaas Pathar or Kaas Plateau...
We found it to be the most unique place ever visited.
Don't go on the size of the flower, yes they are small but the Atmosphere they create over there is nowhere in the entire Maharashtra.
You have to walk a little to explore the entire plateau as it is spread over 2000 Acres of land..
There are 4 parts of it.
Each one has a separate gate to enter.
They call it Gate No. 1, Gate No. 2, and so on.
Each gate has a different flower deferring in size, colour, and other factors.
One should visit this Heritage at least once in life.
A day well spent.
This is a heritage site. The plateau has a plethora of colourful flowers which blossom at the end of monsoon and are enjoyable for a month. You have to book in advance or can do spot booking, if available. Weekends are very crowded and you may have a tough time driving the narrow roads congested by parked vehicles. You have to park your vehicle and take the free tempo traveller service to reach the plateau. There are a total of four sites, although all have similar flowers. It is a walk of around 2-3Km on the plane. Nice fresh breeze and excellent view of surrounding mountains. Limited snack facilities, so carry enough stock and water.
Getting there from Mumbai by road is a seven hour drive, but may take longer due to Pune city traffic. Avoid the rush hours in Pune city.
Kaas Pathar is a true natural wonder that offers a unique weekend getaway. The lush green plateau comes alive with a vibrant carpet of wildflowers during the monsoon season, creating a picturesque landscape that's perfect for nature enthusiasts and photographers. The breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and the calmness of the place make it an ideal spot to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. However accessibility can be difficult on the weekend so plan accordingly by booking hotels before . Overall, Kaas Pathar is a hidden gem for those seeking for a visually stunning weekend retreat in nature.
