Joychandi Pahar Junction railway station serves Adra town and Raghunathpur in Purulia district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It was named after the hill called Joychandi Pahar which is located between these two towns. Joychandipahar rail station is situated on the Asansol-Purulia-Sini main line section. A new station building at Joychandi Pahar railway station was inaugurated on 4 February 2013 by Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Union minister of state for Railways. It's a beautiful station with a fantastic scenic view! One can reach very easily here from Adra Station by a single auto or toto. Timing of trains are quite adjustable and passenger friendly.
It is a famous tourist place. It is mainly for the Jaichandi hill . It is basically a monadnock of chotonagpur hill,which is a erosional landform . Maa Chandi temple is located on the top of hill from this it got its name Jaichandi pahar . You can clearly see the hill from railway station

Amazing place! Went with Friends and had a blast! Bring water with you or the locals will rip you off at 20/- per cheap water bottle. Water is a business there, specifically while climbing the stairs.
