It's a beautiful place to hangout with family / friends
I prefer people to visit it at around 6 in the morning nature will be covered with fogg and mist
Say no to plastics
Save wild life
Jogimatti forest in Chitradurga is a nice high altitude place where we went around 7-00am in morning to experience fogging weather with beautiful sceneries. We could not see any animals except deer. Anyway, forest plants are retained with much conservation of biodiversity in the area. We went around hillocks and valley to have an amazing and fabulous views.

Greenery places
So good and traveling
And in Chitradurga is so good
It is a very cool foggy place near Chitradurga. We visited in monsoon season so it was full of fog and chilling. The road is very bad, I wonder what the first department is doing with all collected money. They charge Rs35/- per head as entrance which is slightly higher compared to other tourist places. On weekends it's too crowded. There is also a zoo nearby that you can visit, limited animals like bear, cheetah, parrots, peacocks, deers and jackal being main attractions. Suggest to go early in the morning by 6 am to cover both places.
Super cool. Windiest. Over 2000 acres of green forest. Lovely view tower. 6am to 9am is an ideal time to visit. During or soon after monsoon is more beautiful. No public transport. A small eatery at the gate is handy but serves breakfast only on Sundays!
Nature is cool..Forests are the largest terrestrial ecosystem of Earth by area, and are found around the globe. percent of forest land is in the tropical latitudes. The next largest share of forests are found in subarctic climates, followed by temperate, and subtropical zones[8]
Forests account for 75% of the gross primary production of the Earth's biosphere, and contain 80% of the Earth's plant biomass. Net primary production is estimated at 21.9 gigatonnes of biomass per year for tropical forests, 8.1 for temperate forests, and 2.6 for boreal forests
It's a good place in monsoon season to visit in early morning and enjoy for some time and here you can visit a mini zoo also.
You can plan early morning for Jogimatti and then Fort and after that you can relax in Chandravalli / Murughamatha
All places are having entre free of Rs 25-30
Here you can plan for one day trip accordingly.
You can experience a simple trek also..
We reached area before 7 am and parked and climbed up the stairs to the watch tower and valley view hill top. Fog and wind speed was high was chill felt. Carry jackets caps and warm clothes for cold chill winds.
