Jawaharlal Nehru Biological Park - Zoo in Bokaro Steel City - Bokaro, India

Nehru Zoological Park in Bokaro is a wonderful destination for a relaxing day out with friends, family, or your significant other. With an affordable ticket price of just Rs20 per adult and Rs10 per child (below 6 years), it's accessible for all. The park is closed on Mondays. One unique feature is the cashless payment system, with only POS and UPI accepted. This ensures convenience and safety. The park itself is beautifully maintained, providing a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Nehru Zoological Park is indeed a nice place to spend quality time with loved ones.

A decent biological park for a small town like Bokaro. Area near entrance is well maintained but once you go deeper, you can expect a better maintenance. There are only few animals like leopards, bear, black bucks, hippopotamus, monkeys and birds. We went on a Sunday and it was not crowded. Swings in kids play area were most crowded. Few hazards like live open fuse sockets need to be fixed. Good place to spend a lazy afternoon but don't keep your expectations high

One time visit place. There is not much to see. Very unhygienic park. Cages were damaged. This park needs maintenance. There were swings for children but most of them were broken. Like all the other parks Indian adults/couples have made this another lover's point. Animals you can see here are- 2 tigers, 1 hippo , 2 ajgar , 2 bear, couple of peacocks, 2 ostrich and a lot of deers. And some monkeys. Most of the animals are not well. # after roaming here you can visit jagannath temple, which is located opposite this park. I wish there were more animals but what can you expect from this poorly maintained park. There were hundreds of snake bills, be careful with your children. There is a paid parking area. The 3% surface gradient of Steel Township lacks in maintenance in terms of cleanliness, water facilities, animal cages, cctv cameras, guards. Also losing its importance due to absence of animals of big cat categories like white tiger, Asiatic lions etc. 3-Stars: For what it still has including beers, leopards, monkey, snakes, birds, deers, fishes etc.

It's fine for children and for family, only few animals and birds are there the cat family has only leopard is there others are dried.

Good place to hangout with your family and friends.. Not so many animals to see here .. This park is now popular as lover's park..

I visited the zoo with my family last weekend and I was disappointed by the experience. The zoo was poorly maintained and had very few animals to see. Most of the cages were empty or had only some birds in them. There was no sign of any lions, tigers, elephants, or other exotic animals that you would expect to see in a zoo. The birds were also not very interesting, mostly pigeons and crows. The only attraction that was somewhat enjoyable was the aquarium, which had some colorful fish and turtles. However, the water was murky and the glass was dirty, so it was hard to see them clearly. The zoo also lacked any facilities for visitors, such as restrooms, cafes, or souvenir shops. There was no shade or seating area to relax and enjoy the view. The staff was rude and unhelpful, and did not seem to care about the animals or the guests. The tickets were expensive and not worth the money. I would not recommend this zoo to anyone who wants to have a fun and educational day out with their family. It is a waste of time and resources. This place could be better if the people would complain about it.

Good place to hangout. Few animals are there, there were no lions, no tigers, no crocodiles, no snakes except one (python(probably)), no fish and many more. Leopard, bear , hippopotamus, some birds and few more animals were there.
