Let me tell you the experience at the newly upgraded Jammu airport. Few years back when we landed, people made jokes that we landed on a runway near some temple and that's what Jammu Airport was. The airport has been upgraded after 2020 to offer the best class services that you can't expect from a small city airport. Few newly upgraded features: Airport building got a freshly upgraded moders terminal which is very clean. Even terminal1 of the munbai airport is nothing in front of it. It cometes with airports like chandigarh and Amritsar now. Multiple boarding gates spanned over multiple floors. Lots of small cafes, like Costa Coffee, Prem Sweets, Pahalwans are available here. Checkin process has been made smooth. No baggage identification required now before boarding the plane. Paahun Executive Lounge - Small Lounge but caters to the needs of those who have a big layover. Seating is enough and we see recliners/sleeping pods too for those who want to rest. Parking space has been introduced Prepaid Taxi service is just near exit though it's quite expensive.

Could not explore the Airport as we were already running late for our check in. But I am hopeful to visit this airport soon. Easy facilitation in the airport. Did not face any rush here. The waiting area was also well organised and maintained. Security personnel were cordial.

Jammu airport has been renovated with great dining and shopping outlets. Many nice shops are now open where you can eat and shop. The eating place has a variety of options to choose from and they make fresh tea and coffee. Juices are also available. There are few more shops from where you can buy traditional Kashmiri dresses, showpieces, bags, holy books etc. The washroom area is all neat and tidy . Also about security, it's well guarded and safe. Overall gives a really nice experience.
