The restaurant should look to have a kitchen running for at least 16hrs if not 24hrs. Food available only at certain times is a big negative point for tourists. Overall Rooms were good, service was great. The family rooms were better than the double occupancy rooms.
Hotel is good. Purely vegetarian, near and clean and having all the facilities. Also budget friendly. We stayed there for 4 nights. It's just above the MG road so you can walk and go to the market anytime.
We stayed here for 4 days. Enjoyed the stay. Stay and food very nice. Thanks to Ms Karma for Co-operation when we reached late night at 11 PM.
Rooms are old and plug-sockets are broken, wires are hanging. No elevator/lift for upper floor rooms. No parking. The street is narrow, hence can't wait for a minute for taxis/cars. Reception is down from Road entrance by about seven eight stairs and is not friendly. Suggesting not to stay at this property, especially older people, ceiling height is low, hence no ceiling fan. One wall mounted fan, which is hanging with wires. No three pin socket, if you have a charger of that type. Food quality is good and hygienic.
When it's not cloudy u can actually see kunchenjunga. The hotel is good and comfortable cleanliness is also well maintained. It's pretty near to mg Marg as well. And right in front of the power house. The restaurant in the hotel is pure vegetarian and the taste is also good. Buffet breakfast is also available.
Better avoid this hotel. Location though walking distance from M G Road, is not very friendly. There's no parking place in front of hotel. Getting in and out of taxi is always in hurry. Rooms are old and not even maintained. Mountain view from hotel is not clear, don't expect any exciting feeling. Food is good. Better avoid this hotel. Rather book The Sikkim Continental, from the same group
Hotel is good basic hotel with clean room and good service, service is good , good mountain view room, good location 250 mtr from mg road. And near to ropeway.
Comfortable rooms with Himalayan view. Geyser available 24 hours. Excellent food and service. Fully veg hotel (their meal plan highly recommended). Special mention to the hospitality of Tapas Sinha and Rajeev Sinha.
