Great place. If you love forts, you will have a good time. You can get a view of the entire Jaipur city from here. Also, this place has the largest cannon that's ever built. Apart from that you can see the great system to store water. Also, you have the option to buy handloom stuff from a shop there.

Jaigarh fort is where the biggest cannon is placed. It is mesmerizing how they placed the cannon and other armoury at the top of the hills in those old era when there were no machines no roads! It is just beautiful. The views from the fort are great, you can see the panoramic view of the green hills surrounding the fort. If you go to the last point, you can see the full Amer fort from there. It is a complete maze though, you can easily get lost if you don't remember the path or don't have a guide with you. The only con is that even though the maintenance of this fort is privatized, the cleanliness is not up to the mark.

Very beautiful fort located at a certain height. Timings: Opens till 6:30pm. You can go to fort via an Uber; but since you don't get networks there it would be difficult coming back to city with an Uber. Local auto are available there but they are gonna charge way higher so be prepared. You can see Amer fort view/ city view from top. It's really beautiful inside. And the guide helps with history. Tickets are 150/- each adults.

Jaigarh Fort, also known as the "Victory Fort," is a majestic fortress located in the Aravalli Hills just 10-15 min drive from Jaipur. This historically significant structure is perched on a hilltop overlooking the beautiful Pink City of Jaipur. It was built in the early 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, and is part of a larger defensive network of forts and palaces in the region, which includes Amber Fort and Nahargarh Fort. Here are some key features and historical aspects of Jaigarh Fort: - Architecture and Design: Jaigarh Fort is renowned for its robust military architecture, well-preserved battlements, and extensive structures. -The Largest Cannon on Wheels: One of the most notable attractions within Jaigarh Fort is the massive cannon known as "Jaivana." It is believed to be the world's largest wheeled cannon and was cast in the fort's foundry during the rule of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. - Water Management System: Jaigarh Fort boasts a sophisticated water supply and storage system. It is connected to the Amber Fort by an underground passage, which was used as an escape route for the royal family during times of war or emergency. The fort's water tanks, including the enormous "Ganga Pol," were designed to store and supply water for the fort's residents and garrison. - Historical Significance: Jaigarh Fort served as a vital stronghold for the Kachwaha Rajput rulers of Amber (now Jaipur) and played a crucial role in defending their territory. - Scenic Views: The fort offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the beautiful city of Jaipur and the rugged Aravalli Hills. - Tourist Destination: Jaigarh Fort is now open to the public and is a popular tourist attraction in Jaipur. Visitors can explore the various sections of the fort, including the palaces, watchtowers, armory, and museum, which houses a fascinating collection of artifacts. You can drive or just take auto/uber to reach here. However while returning, either keep your auto/taxi waiting for you or get fresh auto at lil higher prices from there itself. With 50rs extra, car can go inside the Fort all the way up to the top.

Very nice place. Guide is available at 200. You can book cab for all day at 2500 and can cover Amber Palace , Jaigargh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Panna Meena Kund, Jal Mahal. Palace is very nice and well preserved. Must take guide to know about history People playing folk music is also available. Do not go to Meena Bazar market which guide will take you they quality is not good and price is also very high. Visit in early daytime to avoid crowd. Many hawkers are present outside to get refreshment. It take 1 hours to see each and everything patiently. DSLR Allowed. Entry Tickets Yes Must Visit Early around 8 AM

A huge cannon and nice walk around with good views. My favourite was the place where they made the cannon with huge drills driven by oxen powered giant gearbox systems and drill bits display etc. A lot of neat stuff indeed.
