Ixzire - Resort hotel in Port Blair - South Andamans, India

The beds didn't have a backrest that's a major issue for me I think and the mosquitos. Otherwise the place is really good and staff is cooperative they help you plan your trip too and make arrangements for you. The swimming pool is nice and food was good as well. If you want seclusion this is a nice place but if you're looking towards the city this may not be a good match for you.

this resort is a scam. they treat customers very badly. the owner behaves like a rowdy. It is an unsafe place for people going for a vacation and especially for kids and women. They charge like crazy for simple things like water. The staff pretty rude. The service is not on time even if there are no visitors there. The place is unclean. The bedsheets contain blood stain. Overall, a pretty bad experience. would never recommend to come here and stay for even a day.

It was excellent and value for money stay in this resort. It was rightfully closer to nature and far away from the noise of the city. Everything was great, room, pool, restaurant, food staff behavior and their services everything. I and my wife were completely mesmerized. They even arranged a private candlelight dinner within the balcony of our room. We had to leave the hotel at 6 AM twice and on both occasions, they provided us breakfasts.

I loved the hotel from the moment I stepped into the place. it is so huge and clean, gives a very homely feel and away from the noise. if you are looking for an amazing experience in portblair this is it!! we had plans to go out once we checked in to the room but deceide to stay and enjoy the resort. they have backwaters and a pool where the view is breath taking. I would not miss this resort on any cost. book it online as you get better price

The resort is far from the city. The commute costs you a little more. But the resort folks can have a pre paid taxi. The staff were good. Food in the restaurent is good. Negatives: you have to order food hour and half early to be it ready. Very pricy. You can only use either geyser in bathroom or the AC in the room. Which felt bizzare.

Visited this property in Dec 19 for 2 days. People managing reception were cooperative and arranged for all our transfers. Property is located far from Air /ship port and it is located far from mainly populated area. Rooms were decent with all required amenities. Property can only be accessed through govt ferry hence you are dependent on this ferry every time you plan to go out for city tour and same to come back. Overall nice place for nature lovers as it feels like you are staying inside a forest resort.

In terms of hospitality and tour arrangements, this resort property has probably no equal. Our small family could not have had a better reception anywhere else. While its remote location and rustic setting made a unique experience for us, to some these attributes may not be convenient or pleasing. Distance from Port Blair city / Bambooflat jetty can be viewed as a negative by many. For us, the travel from the jetty to the resort itself presented a scenic view every time. Nevertheless, if given a compact tour programme, Ixzire is a place we shall love to visit once again simply because of the hosts. Yes, the place is more like an upmarket homestay rather than a resort. Guests and children are treated very well indeed. For dog lovers, "Dushtu" - which, we we understood to be a five-year old cross-breed with a face closely resembling a Rottweiler, can be entertaining and very friendly. The restaurant is airy. The quality of food gave us no reason for complain. In fact, allergic as we are to most foods, the dishes served were very good. We were told that the restaurant could have a bar in the near future. As teetotalers though, we enjoyed tea and snacks on the porch of the comfortable cottage that we had to ourselves. Staff who had been assigned to take us on the day trips were extremely polite and courteous. Even when faced with an emergency that could have at the very least landed us in great trouble with the island authorities if not outright bodily harm in the middle of Jarawa forest reserve on our drive back from sightseeing at the Baratang limestone caves, the gentleman who drove the luxury SUV that had been at our disposal exclusively throughout our stay, exuded confidence and exhibited a calming presence. We thank him, and our hosts, for making our vacation a safe and memorable experience that could have been harrowing otherwise. Ambiance, cleanliness, quality and quantity of food served, travel arrangements to tourist spots, overall hospitality and punctuality are the hallmarks of this resort property. We would recommend this to any one seeking a comfortable, cozy, and an offbeat experience while vacationing in Port Blair, Andaman Islands.

This place is pretty for women. Please I recommend to never visit or book this place. The staff is rude and cannot provide service on time. The owner look and behaves like a rowdy. The place is not clean and we could see cobwebs and bloodstain on the bedsheets. Even after telling them to change, they didn't do it. On top of that, it is super expensive. Nothing in this place you will find pleasant.
