Super museum it's retired battle ship of Indian navy.hear we may freely know each part of ship and also it's work.we have enjoyed much and also learn lot only card payment accepted as a ticket is rs 100.00 per person and 50.00 rs of child.cash not accepted.for more details visit our you tube channel travel with 5240
You can spend 20-25 minutes on this ship. The ticket price is just Rs100/person. Though it looks overpriced, annual ship maintenance requires a huge amount of money. Don't think about the ticket price, just visit this amazing museum. This is not the original INS Khukri which was sunk in the 1971 war. This is INS Khukri P-49, Corvette (commissioned in 1988 or 1989).We need some more war memorials/ museums like this. There is no charge for defence personnel and their families..
Amazing experience. The ship is preserved as a memory for the original ship that sank. All details are mentioned in well-defined plaques. Tickets are Rs 100/person, but payable only via card, so make sure you carry it. Explore the top of the deck; when I went, there was a Navy Veteran on the top in the captain's compartment who narrated the entire story of the ship and many more Naval operations. Clicking pictures is allowed. The entire visit takes a maximum of 30 minutes.
Though Diu having very less place to visot but government took vwry nice initiative and build memorial which ia the best part, museum having beautiful scenery, you can take tickets at the entrance so if ypu don't wnt to walk then can go through electric buggies. You can see sea direct from the top. Parking is chargeble. Spending money is worth if you are visiting for the first time as you can have good photo scenery available so.
Great ins khukri ship. We spent 30 minutes inside the ship. So much detail work our navy do and operate such a heavy machine. Proud of Indian navy. One awkward rule of ticket window we found. They accept only card payment. No cash or no upi or no digital payment. I didn't get this concept.
The tickets can be only purchased through card which is quite a bummer if you dont have debit/credit card. But the experience of going on ship was very uniquie. There are arrow marks on the ship to guide the people. One can see all the important rooms and read about the functions of those room/machine. There were no washrooms there and its not wheelchair accessible.
The Indian Navy's frigate Khukri was built in India. She was hit by three torpedoes fired by a Pakistani submarine on September 12, 1971, during the Indo-Pakistan War. She sank 40 nautical miles off the coast of Diu, taking with her a crew of 176 sailors and 18 officers. The INS Khukri Memorial was built on the hillock at Chakratirth beach and opened for business on December 15, 1999. It is a clone of the naval vessel INS Khukri. The Indian Naval Ship Memorial, situated on a hillock in Diu, is three kilometres away from the Diu Bus Station. Located close to Chakratirth Beach, it's a must-see location when on vacation in Diu. The memorial consists of a glass-cased scale model of INS Khukri. At the top are the names of all the ship's officers and sailors. There's an outdoor theatre facing the sea that has visitor seating. The memorial offers a stunning view of the Arabian Sea as the sun sets.
Must visit places in diu. A pride experience to visit a real Indian Navy ship who served for our nation more than 10 years. Currently it is discontinued. There are few retired Indian navy officers who gave important each small details regarding this ship.
Only beach that would be open if every other beaches are closed. However, there would no safety and no-one to take care of anyone so it is all your risk but it is really good.
It's really Delicious and good taste If I'm angry and I'll here in DIU. Me definitely visit this Restaurant I'm happy After to eat this Samosa with Chutney... And Near Have Best view of Sea.. this is what I likes while to eat outside of Home... Fee
Gangeswar Mahadev Temple is a divine haven. The temple exudes a peaceful aura, and its architectural simplicity adds to its charm. It's sorrounded the bank of Arbian Sea. Surrounded by a serene environment, it offers a spiritual retreat for visitors.
The Fort of Diu is a colossal structure that occupies a prominent place on the tourist's list. The enchanting fort commands a magnificent view of the sea, and a jetty constructed on the northwestern coast is still underused and was once used to trade
Administrations clearly stands out . Very clean and very well maintained, the walk up the small hill is truly refreshing, especially if you happen to be here in the evening. The food courts are in the making. The buggy ride is joyful, though one can
