Indira Gandhi Park - Park in Itanagar - Papum Pare, India

I went there a lot of times that after a point, I stopped counting. The park isn't too far from where we were staying at that time. The first time I went there was walking all the way there and it was slightly drizzling rain and the weather was chilly that day and by the time we arrived, it was already dark. So we weren't able to wholly enjoy the real view of the park. And Somewhere in my heart I was wondering to come here again and it really happened. This time when we came it was the time of day and we were even able to witness the sunset in the evening. The whole place was filled with greenery and it really puts your mind at ease when sitting there. That's why we used to spend lots of time sitting there idly watching people in motion. There were lots of people who could be seen coming to jog, run, do yoga or even to walk their pets. Moreover, my last weeks staying in Itanagar really became memorable as I was able to spend time coming here with some of the best companies I could ever get. This experience which I had there will stay forever in my heart.

It's bigger and better then Polo park. You can go there for jogging , walk , for date or just to lay down in comfort grass looking at blue sky and fresh wind listening to people nearby who's walking nearby.. plus there's lot of program organize in I.G Park like statehood day, Independent day and other festivals.

Itanagar in itself is a land that has immense natural treasures to offer. Unlike other places where you may have to seek elsewhere to enjoy solitude and oneness with nature, Itanagar is full of picturesque landscapes and breathtaking views. Indira Gandhi Park adds beauty to the existing magnetic atmosphere. The park has beautiful trees and plants to let you enjoy in peace the gifts of nature. The lush greenery around delights you and the slides for children keep them amused. Indira Gandhi Park keeps the whole family happily engaged.

The best place for a morning workout as well in the evening is that it's beautiful and lovely

Indira Gandhi park is one of the very fresh and clean and green parks in Itanagar where many people come for body exercise in the morning, trees and flowers also give you chill vibes. When you sit in the park it feels really fresh and healthy. In the morning when you meditate you will feel the fresh wind touching your skin and the chirping of birds is like they are talking to you. Moreover, many programs and sports and games happen in the park but the best time to visit in the morning is between 5 to 7 am. Do visit and explore nature but please use bins to throw plastic and waste products which are allocated in the park. Clean and green arunachal pradesh.

Place is very good with trees and greeneries.....but people are misusing the place with alcohol and other narcotic substance...need to keep some vigilance during night to stop happening of unsocial acts...it's govt and residents of IMC duty..overall very good olace

Serene, and lust green park situated at the heart of the city. It is situated almost 500 metres away from Bank Tiniali, Itanagar. You can jog, have picnic time, play, walk and enjoy the natural beuty. Removing the one star, since I just couldn't find a public toilet and drinking water facilities there or else a full 5 star if at all it is there.

A nice place to relax, exercise and practice yoga, Indira Gandhi Park in Itanagar is amongst the top attractions of the city. The garden is adorned with plants and trees and has neatly drawn grassy areas and paths that are ideal to spend some peaceful time. The place is ideal for organizing a picnic, running, walking or simply lazing around. From time to time many government events take place here along with fairs and fests. Getting There: Taxis are available here to reach this place, if you like to walk and you are around the Ita Fort, you can head out on foot for this place. Things to Do & See in and around: This place is ideal for walking, running and even for relaxing and spending time amidst nature. The Ita Fort is close by and can even be reached on foot. Best Time to Visit: All through the year.
