Very calm and quiet place. Lovely atmosphere, staff were very warm and have a friendly attitude.Felt to be in home. Very neat and tidy rooms and yard. Enjoyed the serene lake. Homely , tasty and good quality food .There is a nice vegetable garden , they use these fresh vegetables in food and thoroughly enjoyed the food. I'm here for the second time. Kids friendly place. Kids also loved the lake view cottage very much.

Very good location. Price is normal. Madam Mr. Susan good. I book the room during December 22. I have canceled in the last minute but they are kind enough to give the room during October 23 for the advance I paid. Worth for the money. The have to improve the kitchen and food. They have to provide room boys. I should have given 4.5.
Very calm and peaceful location to stay..The rooms were neat and clean.We can enjoy the sunset and the lake view in front of our room. Food is freshly prepared as per order. Do not expect the restaurant style and taste. It tastes homely.. Overall we had a nice time there. Thank you whole team.

When a customer walks in after travelling from 100s of km, have a genuine process to feel them welcome. They may be 1 among many for you. But for them, us , we chose only your property to stay, But the attitude of the attendant put me off. She was all about money. So I went next door to Doves Goldfield, found it was a far better property with welcoming staff. Paid a better price than what the lady at lakeside was arrogantly demanding. Owner? This is for you.
The location of the property is definitely great, but the place requires a lot of maintenance and care. The price for the facilities and food is very costly. The staff are really good.
We had chosen Illikalam due to its close proximity to The Zuri Kumarakom where we were organising a destination wedding. Sumod was very helpful throughout our stay there. We highly recommend their Lake View Cottages.

We absolutely loved our experience. We booked a 1 bedroom houseboat with A/C in the bedrooms. It was spacious and clean and the bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with an English toilet (no toilet paper only a water jet so take that if you need it!).
