Ice Lake Residency - Hotel in Vagamon - Idukki, India

This place is located a little away from Wagamon town. The road there is very bad. The staff is very friendly. A part of Vagmon Lake is located in front of it and the view from here is very beautiful

Not even deserve 1 star. Not a purposeful degrading, but the caretaker's behavior was much disgraceful. He agreed to provide a campfire and all other facilities to have food (including grill) for all of us (we were around 30 people). But after reaching there, there was no campfire. There was no plates/glass for having food. The grill was full of rust and was a cracked one. The caretaker was not present there, and one Tamil boy (who doesn't know Malayalam) were there. What the most awkward moment was, when we asked for drinking water, he told us to consume it from toilet pipe!! The only good thing I felt is the owner has a good personality. He decreased some amount from the total for the bad experience we had. Location is a bit walkable from the main road. Beautiful spot with naturally enriched premises. Nb: Don't know whether the caretaker is replaced or not, the owner himself told me that the caretaker is not up to the mark. Except for the caretaker's behavior, this resort is fine.

The hotel has limited coverage for room service but the rooms are well maintained and cool. The standard rooms are pretty small but you do not have a balcony to enjoy the view; however, front view, you get to see beautiful scenic view of mountains. The place is just 1 Km from the centre of Vagamon. You will enjoy staying but I feel they should have expanded spaces in corridors and for standard rooms. Having said that, it is economical for stay.

Nice resort for bachelors as well as families. No restriction for anything. We enjoyed camp fire almost for 4 hrs upto 1 Am.

Room service was too bad. Seems like the care taker was not interested in his job! Anyway we ruined 1 day there. Location is awesome.

Good place in vagamon city to hangout with family n friends. Nice ambiance and decent rooms with fully privacy. Availability of food of your choice and boating in front of the plot.

Two days holiday,I spent at this place..really lived in nature...even if it's near town felt like far into the nature. Near town delivers all my needs beside.
