Please train your entry point staff to listen to customers, I wasted half an hour and then had to remind the entry point attendant that I had no business to do with the staff who were busy, I just had to contact overseas HSBC support using one of the vacant phones. Then immediately everything was arranged for me, which could have been done half an hour ago.
Just a glammed up bank with service worse than SBI. They took a month to close a simple service request and closed my complaint without even addressing the issue. Front desk staff and the managers are equally incompetent and not customer friendly. Do not waste your time here unless you have no option. HSBC used all their resources in India for investing in aesthetical and tangible assets in their branches, the staff and service is way below par and a nightmare to deal with.
I have an NRI account with them and all I can say is that going to them was a big mistake. Absolutely trash customer service with an even more lousy system. For example, their system doesn't send you the OTP for online transactions and their managers never answer your calls. Would definitely not recommend these guys, especially for NRI services.

Worst HSBC branch to work with. I have been struggling to get a basic work done. Every Saturday, even though it says the branch is functional, it is not! There is no direct number for the branch that can be called upon before visiting. It's a waste of time, their phone banking has become a joke. Everything is directed to the branch and there are barely 3 branches in all of Mumbai. I believe HSBC is planning to shut Retail banking in India
Pooor very pooor branch. waiting time is 1 hour and the staff is not mych educated abount anything.
After reading comments I kept 40-45 mins for my work in the branch. But my work was done in 10 minutes which was really quick. The only issue the there are very limited branches in Mumbai for hsbc. I have to travel for 11 km which is 1 hour from my home to visit nearest branch. Also there is parking ossue in this area. So travelling and parking took more than 2 hours but work was done un 10 minutes.
Expect a '30min waiting' anytime you come here. Then when it's your turn at one of the only 3 people attending you there, it's still difficult to get their undivided attention as they "multitask". Sadly it's been this way for years now!

Whenever you go with your problems, staff says "we are busy right now, come back later" They are not cooperative at all. The customer should be your first priority
