HPTDC Cafe Lalit Kufri - Restaurant in Kufri - Shimla, India

If only HP Tourism outlets could learn the art of hospitality! Beautiful place with ugly service. Average food. Overpriced for the kind of food served - basic! The only aspect worth visiting here is the outdoors with flower plantation and fancy seating. Visit here during winters when the waiters actually notice you and serve decently owing to loss of business. This place is a living personification of why the government sector is failing in India!

Nice Ambience. Reasonable pricing. Service is also good. Although the tea was not good as it was from the machine and with teabags . One can try food inside as it is good and reasonable.

A neat and clean restaurant operated by tourism department of Govt of Himachal Pradesh. We tested handmade masala chai with veg pakora which were good .Also later had lunch with rice, dal, sabzi which were tasty. It has lawn area with chairs where visitors can sit and order tea snacks . The cost of food is reasonable.

Located at a picturesque hill top, this restaurant provides a satisfactory dining experience. The place is well maintained by HPTDC. Cleanliness is very good with limited range of food and drinks. Service is quick and staffs are very courteous. Located at a walking distance of the zoo. A great place to click pictures as well.

Pathetic food, horrible service and poor presentation of food. Unbothered and ignorant staff, didn't pay any heed to the requests of the guests. Food was unbelievably atrocious. This is their vegetable thali, quality of rice was questionable, chapatis were dripping and sabjis were tasteless. This restaurant is a shame on the name of Himachal Tourism. Please don't visit this restaurant.

Great Experience. Calm and peaceful place with clean tables and delicious food. Don't miss this place if you visit Kufri. People who come with guides are often taken to another place where they get food by a small detour and then make their way..I would recommend them to come here and have your meal . This place isn't expensive and the service is great

poor experience we had Waited for 1.30 hour for our order and they denied it to give after wait then we left that spot Surrounded with lush green in august month , chilled experience

The building in which the cafe is situated got some historical vallue,it's called Chini Bangla and during Shimla agreement Julfikar ali bhutto and Indira Gandhi stayed there. Now cafe lalit operates at the ground floor of the building operated by HPTDC,good place wrt other places in Kufri, service is fast ,taste was ok, quantity was sufficient,got good views, serves some alcohol also,saw guest sipping beer.
