Be sure to book the hotel online or get a written confirmation about what the promised price includes. We were quoted a price for rooms and meals. Later, they claimed the price was only for the rooms and the meals were chargeable. Location is good and lake view rooms are cheaper than the Welcome Hotel which is just beside this property. However, the mis-sell ruined our experience.

This is a very old property facing dal lake ghat no.7. Some of the rooms have recently been renovated but you can still see the age of this place. Service is very good, food is average. I would recommend eating in either shamiyana or streams, both restaurants serve great food. As a for room recommendation I would suggest not to take the room facing the dal lake as it's the noisiest of them all with the constant honking of the cars till late in the night. If you can stand it by all means book that room. This hotel deserves only 3 stars but the extra star is given purely for the service. It's more of a lodge than a hotel. If possible try to book elsewhere and if there is no option left then book zamrud. There is a welcome hotel right next to zamrud which has good rooms and great service.

Small rather very small lake facing rooms. We'll equipped but size is abount 90 to 100 sqft. Toilet is equally small. Food is just horrible. Excellent location. Staves and services are good.

Justified for price. But make sure you keep a written record of tariff and other negotiation details or there maybe confusion during billing. As happened with us. The service otherwise is good.

Best family hotel in Srinagar opposite Dul Lake. Homily atmosphere well trained polite staff. The food is very delicious

Writing this review a bit late as visited few months back. This hotel is a lot better than most hotels that are rated above 4. Actually, when looking for hotels in kashmir, don't go by ratings at all. Many pathetic hotels are shown as fabulous ones in images and these google reviews so better be careful. Pros: 1. Excellent location opposite dal lake 2. Good breakfast Cons: Not really but few things you may experience 1. All rooms sizes are different so at times you may not get the front rooms with a great view. 2. Minor issues like slow service etc but still lot better than most.

I'm so sorry to post this but you should know this room was not worth the cost. We paid 6500 rupees for a very dirty bathroom. It seemed like it was never cleaned, it smelled really bad, the towels were literally stained, they couldn't even be used. The sinks were broken and the shower area was also very disgusting. We couldn't sleep the whole night, there was so much noise from the other guests in the hotel and from outside. This review isn't to shame the hotel but for them to improve.
