Hotel Sapphire - Middle Eastern restaurant in Thrissur - Thrissur, India

Delicious food!! The food was not up to the mark before COVID. Tried again last week and they have improved a lot. Biriyani is special here. It's one of the best restaurants in Thrissur Town. Go and enjoy with ur family.

We took one Mixed Fried Rice on 22.11.23 , 4 pm and it was far below average with lots of chicken or some soft bones could not eat it properly, they have very less selection at that time, because of old name and nostalgia we tried.. never recommended ..

A very famous name at Thrissur, last time, we had a full and a half biriyani had a happy and filled tummy. Me and my mother. The supplier was wonderful. But, before this, on 12th Nov upon arriving on the train, this was one good restaurant nearby. We had meals and when the supplier was asked for a change of rs 200, he got us the change was bad mouthing about us not tipping him to his colleague in Hindi. Though in a hurry we could not report this 10 days after the incident once I landed back, I complained the management dismissed the incident claiming their boys would not do this. That's is it. That was sad. The best at Thrissur, Father in law of my cousin, who is a native of Thrissur introduced this restaurant to me and my mom. The biriyani then was better than usual, and we were pleased. Having been to some other restaurants and upon displeasure, we come here expecting a treat.

This hotel is very famous for its biriyani they serve. Sapphire biriyani in thrishur is like a must visit place. Unfortunately I found absolutely nothing great about the place. The biriyani was average and so were the other dishes we had. I would not come here again. It clearly is overhyped. The service was really nice The car parking space is located a few blocks from the hotel in walkable distance.overall it was nice but it was not great like people give it credit for . It is located very close to the thrishur ksrtc stand which is great because it is easily accessible.

I'm not here to write a lot of words. Just two tips to the chefs and management. 1) If we boil some biriyani rice and load it with a litre of Vanaspati, that will not magically become Biriyani. 2) Human can eat half cooked vegetables, but not Mutton. Half cooked/raw Mutton can be eaten by animals only. So, please make youself sure whether you are making Biriyani for human or animals. Because in my case, more than half of what I bought today (23/11/23) was eaten by cats and dogs, and for clarity, I bought 4 Mutton biriyanis and 1 Vegetable biriyani (take away) and paid Rs 1040+Rs 150 for each. So, please do not serve the food with a mentality as if you are doing it for free.

It used to be the best once! Now the taste and quality of food has gone very bad. The biriyani is not upto mark, what it was known for before. And the chicken chilli fry, which was recommended their speciality too was very pathetic. They put the unwanted bony pieces of chicken and deep fried it. It was very bad.

This restaurant is very budget friendly and nice staff. The food they prepare is so good and yummy in my tummy soup chicken fry chappathi noodles etc... we will love it. Mojito is available there Highly recommend this restaurant for those who are searching budget friendly

So nostalgic about the food, couple of decades back. Recent visit wasn't that impressive. The biriyani is below average. Fried chicken was used in biriyani which was hard. We felt they used oil in place of ghee. Porotta and chicken masala was good. Didn't try any other items. Parking assistance was commendable.
