Hotel is good but you need to follow up for your requirements, staff does not carry out your instructions or requirements.
Very very bad maintained hotel, for the price you pay you get zero service at all. No house keeping, no room cleaning. Bad place to organize functions too. They have disabled review option from andriod phones too. Classic example of improper functioning of govt organizations.
Location of the property is good but service was pathetic. Lot of mosquitoes in the room. Couldn't find lift inside. Will not recommend
Good place externally, however the rooms though spacious, need lot of maintenance and touch up. Sunmica peels off the furniture, ACs do not have remote, intercoms do not function, non functional lights, boarders ignored for external guests e.g. no food in restaurant for lodgers during Dandiya or anyone to provide you water. Deluxe rooms are marginally better. Check in and check out was smooth and fast. Outside garden was well maintained. Reasonable parking space was available. Breakfast is free but lacks variety. Staff were well mannered. No food joints nearby. Location is ok and known to all. Wish management will address the issues.
We landed up at 2345hrs on 04 February 2020, and we're welcomed warmly by the Reception Staff...Requirements of Bedsheets and Fresh Drinking water we're met within 2-3 minutes. Other amenities were adequate. Breakfast was very well prepared and served with warmth...
No maintenance. Staff is okay. Food quality is good. Curtains are hanged with help of wire. It will be really great if they can change the mattress once in a lifetime... PS. - hand jet is connected to Geyser.if you want cold water while geyser is on, first u will have to switch it off.
We only booked this because it was a government tourist house, priced higher and naturally we expected a better tourist experience .While the compound itself is breathtaking with gardens and bridges, rooms were shabby, unkempt . There was another person's shoes in the room . No liquid soap in dispenser . Phone for calling reception or restaurant didn't work . Mosquitoes caused mayhem all through the night in the room, one of the window inside was open before our entry . For dinner, We ordered a mix veg, dal tadka , curd rice and dahi began for dinner. On the same night ,my mother and I, who had eaten curd items experienced vomiting, headache, fever and body pain. We were so weakened that we slept the entire day and night the day after . We had to go to doctor for the same .Kindly do the hygiene check of your kitchen so that no health or even life is not endangered by the food items made in your kitchen . Gone are the days when the government accommodations used to be a premium experience . OYO has raised it's standard far too much for these establishment to compete. Better book an OYO instead of OTDC at konark and have a better experience
A very old govt authorised hotel with lounge and restaurants facilities, clean, royal looks, interior are great , staff behaviour so good. But some people come there and shouting like own house , that can't handle by otdc staff . Otherwise staff are humble and foods served is tasty hotmeal. A perfect place
