Hotel Pomra - Hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

The hotel is situated near MG Road. Approx 500-600 metre above. The location is beautiful and you can view kanchanjanga mountains from its restaurants or Room no 203. If you are into a luxurious experience then it might disappoint you. It's a budget hotel with a friendly and supportive environment. Breakfast is very limited here so you might consider some other options.

Really Amazing Hotel , dont go for negative reviews , they had come when management was different, i find staff of Hotel Pomra really helpful & polite especially receptionist Mr Ansari was really helpful & good by nature , Rooms are really spacious with wifi & at budget rate & best thing about this hotel is u can see Kanchanchunga (K2) peak from it on a clear sky , especially in winters , i visited in monsoon , i highly recommended Hotel pomra for your stay in Gangtok

Staff behaviour is very bad with customers,rooms r not proper... bathroom taps r not properly worked... bedsheets r not changed from staff... quality of food is not good...foodr limited...staff is very rude with customers... don't go there

The hotel looks fine, until you are taking any services. The service is worst. 1. There is no recharge done in the TV in any of the rooms of the hotel. After reminding several times also no effect, receptionist will give you a smile, (you can try). 2. The food is not available if you don't tell it before. 3. No towel provided by them. 4. For a double bedded-room, they provided a single small soap only. 5. Tea they will provide in a small cup made of paper. 6. No mineral water

Useless You don't get any network service there properly but hotel manger doesn't care Rooms were dirty, bed, bathroom. Bed quality is worst No wifi It's a place of hell Not worth of money at alllll

We have booked two rooms in Hotel Pomra by Ibibo. It's really a great place in such reasonable price near MG marg. The services of the Hotel staff are so well. They are very cooperative and helpful. We had our dinner there. They were also in reasonable price with quality food. I am totally satisfied with the hotel. The rooms are clean. The washroom are neatly clean with proper accessories. The view from the window as well as from the balcony was mesmerizing.

This is one of those places where you realise that giving one star rating is too high. Everyone behaved like the owner of the place, while when confronted over the issues everyone runs. The only one who remains realises the mistake only because you're accompanied by a govt officer. Water is served in dirty glasses(smelly dirty), dal for dinner is prepared around noon and is served cold(by prepare I meant boiled and have some salt in it). Chay is one of the worst at this place and they serve it immediately after 45-55 minutes after placing the order. Intercom is available in some of the rooms and work 50% of the time. Not that they understand your order for the rare successful connection to the reception and you actually have to walk upto reception or kitchen or wherever all the hotel staff is. They also have this branded mineral water(because what's in the name) with transparent tape as it's seal which somehow costs INR35/liter. Normal tap water is served in open jugs and you just need to find a way to cover it with a paper or whatever it is you could arrange on your own. Washrooms are small(2/5th the size of the room) and does not even have a complementary soap, tissue roll is already wet (in 2/3 rooms for us). But what washroom have is water on the floor as it has been cleaned in haste, and spider webs all over the geyser and door and over the window(which is opposite to another hotel's window if you think to open it). TVs in the rooms are 14" wide CRTs, which anyhow does not work. Dustbins in the room are broken and does not open from the paddle. Cupboard can't store a jacket/shirt straight to its length. Kitchen hygiene is really poor and the rooms smells like they haven't been open in a while. The spare bedding also smells the same. This place is that Kala teeka on gangtok's hospitality which makes it resistant to the bad omens which the tourist like myself brings. Offline they asked us 3 times the amount for the standard rooms to what it was on a common hotel booking app. P.S. We were with our parents.

Located just above the MG Marg in Kazi Road,the hotel is clean and provides u great hospitality.The hotel owner Mr. Deepak Kr. Choudhary is very helpful and will guide u throughout your stay. The staffs were very helpful specially Mr.Ranjan Kr Singh. The hotel provides u almost every facilities from good rooms to managing permits for places like Na-Thula . The dining room of the hotel was great. When i say food was great specially when Mr. Ranjan will cook for you(i mean it :))Overall experience was awesome .I'll recommend this hotel to every couple, families and for the solo traveller :). You wont regret,just be there:)
