Hotel October Sky - Hotel in Gangtok - Jalpaiguri, India

The location is just perfect. Go down by the stairs you reach MG marg. There is a taxi stand just outside the hotel. Behavior of the staff are very good and they are very helpful. The rent is little bit high than the hotels one step lower MG marg. But view from window is just awesome, you can see MG marg, mountains, in one word perfect.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, making me feel like an honored guest throughout my stay. The rooms at October Sky Hotel were a haven of tranquility. Impeccably designed, they boasted breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Waking up to the mist-covered peaks each morning was a surreal experience that will forever be etched in my memory. The hotel's restaurant was a culinary delight. I savored delectable dishes that showcased the authentic flavors of Sikkim. From traditional momos to mouthwatering local delicacies, every meal was a gastronomic adventure that left me craving for more. One of the highlights of my stay was the rooftop terrace. With a panoramic view of Gangtok and its vibrant cityscape, it provided the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of the Himalayas. As the sun painted the sky in hues of orange and pink, I felt a deep sense of peace and contentment. The location of October Sky Hotel was ideal. Just a short walk down from MG Marg, I had easy access to the heart of Gangtok's shopping and dining district. The hotel's proximity to the main attractions made exploring the city a breeze, while still providing a peaceful retreat away from the crowds. The dedication and attention to detail shown by the staff at October Sky Hotel truly set it apart. They arranged for local guides to take me on unforgettable excursions to places like Tsomgo Lake and Nathu La, ensuring that I experienced the true essence of Sikkim.

The staff as well as the manager are very unprofessional. They are very rude to the guest and they don't even care if they have get their lunch or dinner. So I will suggest not to book this hotel.

Staff is rude and unprofessional. They don't bother about cleanliness of room. They just know how to say 'no' to any thing asked. Didn't even ask for water for 2 days... Manager is least interested in resolving complaints... rather is ready to fight us... my suggestion is don't ever book this hotel when u visit Gangtok.

worst hospitality !... receptionist / manager behaviour is worst .. he doesnt know how to talk to their customers ...he is unmannered ..he is not even bothered to clean the room... and when asked about the same he is ready to argue rather than resolving issue....i wont suggest anyone to stay here ! pathetic behaviour.. this hotel doesnt even deserve a single star !

It was nice stay. Very much professional. I see some reviews saying, hotel manager/owner is a attitude person, it's not at all true. He is very much friendly and everyone's way of speaking/expression is not same. In one word, it was really nice stay. I didn't find anything negative.

It is near to m g marg..but rooms are small.staff behaviour is not so good.. it's okay type hotel.

In one word "With a good location pathetic Room and their service". Bad's 1. Hotel Manager(Pranay Dhar) very attitude bengali person and behaviour was very rude. 2. Hotel service was very pathetic no one take your luggage from the drop location or pickup location.(As location of the hotels in MG Marg so most of the taxi service drop you at before or upper parking so be prepared) 3. Hotel rooms amenity(i.e. Bedsheet, Pillow Cover, Computer Chair, Computer Table, Wardrobe) was not usable for a human. It was so dirty you don't want to use it. I will add some pic of that. 4. Hotel Room toilets are not cleaned it smalled. Geyser not worked. 5. Hotels have a hudge water problem. 6. Hotels front gate have no security and manager will not avaliable in night so they close the main gate and open it after 8AM Morning so if you want a morning trip then you can't do it from this hotel. So be prepared. Also if you have a water problem in Early Morning no one will help you. 7. Food was not cooked in hotels they buy it from MG Marg also same for water. They not provided any bills of that. Same for the Water Bottels. Good Only one, You can get a great view of the MG Marg from your room window. That's it. So to get only one benefit you have accpect all this bad's of this hotel.
