Hotel Navarathna - Hotel in Aluva - Ernakulam, India

I usually dont give feedback, but this hotel has made me to provide this feedback. First of all, we booked this hotel via goibibo, where it was mentioned as a 3 star hotel. Our plan for a night stay as we had to drive to Alleppey the next morning. When we reached the hotel, we found that we made a mistake. There was a Bar right next to this hotel, and some 10 ppl were standing outside of it and were talking and I had to take my family in between them to get into the hotel. Now, coming to the room, Room was completely filled with Smoke smell (whole 3rd floor). Even the bedsheets were stinky. Our Kid could not even breath properly. Had to fight with the receptionist and changed the room. Luckily there was a room in 2nd floor and still the bedsheets were filled with smoke smell here. Coming to the receptionist, I had at least called the reception 10 times, and each time the person on the reception just cuts the call saying Ok in 3-4 secs.. He was not even ready to listen to what people say.. Pretty poor service.. Next day morning, I thought of running out of this hotel as early as possible, and we tried to take a bath at 7 am. Uff... No Hot water now.. Had to force my Kid to take bath in Cold water, and for this the receptionist said "Solar is not working Sir" and cut the call. Overall, if you are a bachelor, and could adjust with the above issues, please go ahead and stay here.. This is not recommended for family, especially no Kids please... Deluxe Room that I paid was around 3k, and is not even worth of half of it.

The food was ok. But there were no lights working in the lift. We had to use our torch on the phone to press the floor number. Closed cabins were so small and caused a claustrophobic feel. Rooftop is good.

Hotel Navaratna has a decent executive bar with closed cabins for good privacy. Almost all types of hot and chilled liquor are available here. The food served here was good, but never order any meat items as the quantity is very low, only 4 or 5 pieces of meat and the rest is full of onion and tomatoes, we might get confused whether we ordered ulli roast or pork roast. The service of the staff was friendly and the ambience of the dining area is decent. Good parking space available for cars and bikes.

Good for those who like privacy while drinking. Food is not bad.

Nice place to have a drink. Cheaper than other places in Aluva.

Very poor service. Anyone planning to stay at Aluva, recommend to select some other hotels. Helpdesk staff is not courteous to customers.

Very poor service. Low culture staffs. We went with 3 boys and 2 girls. They was inappropriately looking at us. Even though we were in AC bar, we were very suffocated with their total approach and behaviour towards us. Will not ever visit there and i will never suggest this place for anyone.
