Best budget friendly hotel with excellent room service warm welcome and hospitality from Ashok Ji. Excellent food within package tour . Stayed in super deluxe room having mountain view
The experience was good as the rooms and the toilets were very neat and clean. We stayed at this hotel for 1 day.
The Mountain View hotel is a pathetic 1 star hotel. Hotel does not have lift or generator power backup. Only one light worked during frequent power failures.
1. Room - Room was ok size but there was dust on chairs and tables. Cupboard was dirty and stinking. Linen had stains allover.
2. Bathroom - very dirty with taps leaking. Flush did not work properly.
3. F & B - there was no restaurant or coffee shop. Room service is very basic with food catered from outside. It is one man show. The same Mr. Ashok managed the reception, he was the bell boy, he also delivered the food to the room.
The best and perhaps only good part was the behaviour of Mr. Ashok. He supported us as much as possible with smile on his face.
My humble submission - avoid Mountain view Hotel in Kalimpong.
Location outside market area but easy to findout. Rooms are clean but slightly old type. Manager behaviour is very good. No lift available.

the hotel was really good though there was no view from our room we were informed about this earlier and there is no fault of the host. The room service was top-notch, the host was always available on our call for anything needed. The food was good and the quantity was also sufficient for 2 people. We added breakfast and dinner meal with our booking and the food was really good. Overall a good experience. Only one thing I would like to mention is that the TV was really small and it was recharged after we came. And the lighting of the room should be greater as it looked little dim to me.
we booked hotel, mountain view deluxe room for 2 adults & 2 children. but the bed provided to us was not a king size bed, it was only good for maximum 2 people, not spacious, no accommodation for children, after complaining to hotel authority no solution was done, besides extra amount was claimed for extra accommodation. we did not pay though any amount as it was mentioned. bathroom was not good enough.hotel cleanliness was not up to mark.no food available for bengali people.it was actually average stay.
It was a wonderful experience, we'd stayed only for three days but we had enjoyed the experience. Very friendly and helpful. The room had a great view of the mountains and we enjoyed our meals. I must mention the food was simple but delicious, just like home-cooked but very tasty. We would definitely stay there in the future if we visit Kalimpong again. The rooms were clean and decent, nothing fancy but worth making one's stay cheerful. Hope this was helpful.
