The simple hotel is the best in segment, with super view of fort complex. Staff is very friendly and services are beyond par. Highly recommended for budget travellers.

Unfortunately this hotel has gone well past its use by date. Completely rundown rooms with no maintenance to be seen, mould in the bathrooms. The owner is aggressive in his behaviour towards guests, and with the exception of the excellent view, there is no reason to go anywhere near this property. Many better options that are better priced and well maintained within a stone's throw of the property.
Orchha is a lovely place to visit. The positives are the hotel had lovely views across the river. Clean linen on beds, and a lovely welcome from the owners, but let down by overall poor cleanliness in the room, which was also infested with various insects, to the point that we had to buy insecticide. Shower didn't work at all and handbasin tap more of an outside garden tap. Beds seem to be handmade from plywood with a mattress on top.
The rooms are very neat and clean especially the washrooms and linens were very clean. The rooms are very economical as compared to location and services.
Good location in orchha and nice view to the palace. The room was very smelly and employees were talking outside the room around 6am in the morning so we could not sleep anymore as it was quite noisy.

This mid-range, family owned, guest house was fantastic for our needs. It is a little rough around the edges but the rooms are great and it was far better from any other comparable place we found.. and we looked at a few! The friendly owner really cares about his guests. Try the lunch or dinner thali as it is delicious and not too oily or spicy. I loved my time here :)
