Hotel Galaxy - Hotel in Port Blair - South Andamans, India

The food was great. The other good thing about the hotel was the behaviour of the staff which was fantastic. The sleeping quality was great and Mr. Rajan(owner's husband) along with her daughter -in-law treated us very well and attended us with full attention. The room size is small but is very good and comfortable. The hotel located in the heart of the city plus it was near to the road. The overall experience was excellent. Mr Rajan is very cooperative. You tell him your requirement and he give suggestion perfectly. He can arrange different types of bookings need a traveller of Andaman. Workers of the hotel are also excellant. I stayed hotel from 18.10.15 to 20.10.15 and 23.10.15 to 24.10.15. I will certainly stay third time in this hotel. Highly recommended to others.

I stayed here for 5 night with my family this week. The owner is a nice person and look after the hotel by himself. Food quality for Bengali family is very good and just like home made food. Travel arrangement is quite good and owner may guide you in advance, if needed. Now a days power cut is often but emergency back up service is arranged properly. Wi-fi at reception is good but poor in room. Location of the hotel just opposite direction of main city but peaceful clean area with availability ofall support service. Give liberty to owner to make you a definite winner.

Good budgetary hotel with friendly staffs and reasonable price. Service of the hotel is just good and effective. Ambiance is also good and a good atmosphere is prevailing inside the hotel complex. They arrange local tours by cars which is satisfactory and enjoyable. Position of the hotel is also good and easily noticeable from road. Finally it's a good place to stay satisfied with friends or family for a weekend tour to Port Blair.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days. It is a nice hotel and very well located. The owner Mr. Rajan is really a nice person. The rooms are comfy and clean. My room was equipped with a balcony too. The wash room was clean. The saty looked perfect in every aspect. The staffs are also very friendly. Specially I would like to say the food quality, was best I found in entire Andaman. I dined in many good restaurants in the island but here the food quality was better to my test. One who is searching for a budget hotel, must stay in this. One who is travelling to Baratang/ Wandoor/ Jolly Boy/ Sippi Ghat will find the location especially helpful as all the local bus goes over Bathu Basti. Hiring Auto or car in Andaman is expensive and if you can travel in local bus then lot of money can be saved. Buses are comfortable and never crowded.

Good budget hotel. Good hotel staff and very helpful and co-operative Chitra mam. I really enjoyed the stay at hotel. Homely food is available here. Approximate distance from airport is within 5-6 KM. They can plan your holiday also if someone directly contacted to them. And many thanks to mam once again.

Hotel is located at a nice and convenient place with double-bedded room for family. Complementary breakfast and dinner under package are really of high quality with commendable service by all staff. The drivers engaged for local tour are very modest and well managing dropping & transferring duties. Above all the gentle behaviour & very accommodating attitude of the Proprietor is praiseworthy and rare I have ever experienced. We spent 4 nights with family of four.

Our recent trip to Andaman stayed in Hotel galaxy port blair(Bathu Basti) was unforgettable. Very thankful for the Hotel owner Chitra Di. She organised our whole trip (Portblair / havelock/ neil / Baratang etc.) at a very reasonable cost. Hospitality of the staff(Shiba) is awesome. And uncle ji you r soo sweet. specially their foods was too much excellent like our home. Thank you Chitra Di for your hospitality. If anyone plan for Andaman, directly contact to Chitra Di and I suggest to stay in hotel Galaxy.

We had a family trip in Andaman Islands during October 2015. Our experience throughout the trip in the islands was just awesome mainly due to the extreme co-operation extended by Mr. Rajan, who is in-charge of Hotel Galaxy. He is a very nice person, and the well-mannered behavior of all the hotel staffs with the guests made us to always feel a home-like environment. The stay in the hotel was very comfortable in the budget. In fact, the hotel is well located near to the Port Blair Airport. Main market is within the range of just 50 Mtrs. of distance from the hotel which is very much comfy for the guests staying in the hotel to go out for shopping and relaxation in their flexible timings. Along with discussion and well-planned advice by Mr. Rajan, we could cover all the sight-seeing points which we planned well in advance before our trip. We strongly recommend Hotel Galaxy for its best service for a middle-class budget. Thanks once again to Mr. Rajan for the wonderful trip we enjoyed under his guidance.
