HOTEL EDEN ROC - Hotel in Puducherry - Pondicherry, India

My second visit here. Situated dot on the main road at an intersection, traffic is really loud outside. Heavy curtain on windows try to keep the sound out, but for rooms facing the road, its an great view. The other rooms face the back of the hotel, which is a residential area. Rooms are large sized and well appointed. Restaurant is great, with not too much choice for vegetarians, Staff is helpful. Still, it is one of the best hotels in the area.

This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. The rooms are okay but the service is horrible. I had to ask for every single thing like toothbrush, shampoo, soap etc. Also the window lock was broken and I had to get that fixed too. When I asked them to change my room they said 'why change the room?' Also their restaurant service was pathetic. One day they offered buffet breakfast and the other day again I had to ask for the food items one by one. To top it off they asked me Rs300 as cleaning charges of the room which by the way is a basic service of any hotel.

I booked club room through Agoda and for confirmation I called hotel Eden ROC and he is telling that they will charge extra 1000 as it is weekend and another reason being it's not updated in the app. I cancelled my booking at that moment itself. What kind of nonsense is this? What about those who book rooms through app and never call for confirmation? Once they reach the hotel you will ask for extra money and how they will feel. Please avoid this kind of things in future which is not fair.

Fabulous hotel!! Very well maintained and hygienic rooms. Friendly staff, cheerful and helpful receptionist. Complimentary breakfast is available and was very good. Loved the experience of staying here!

A very nice hotel to stay!! Friendly staff, good service and good food. Only drawback is its location...quite far to the beach...but if you in pondy for a business trip and beach is not your priority then you must stay at this place. Rooms were neat and hygenice ..house keeping staff always ready to help. Overall great experience!!!

To Eden Roc, I am writing this mail behalf of our company. This is to register my concern, that I have faced from your front office manager about our regular bookings. We will be booking rooms for our clients regularly every month surrounding Pondicherry. As a change, we thought to approach EDEN ROC and call them. I was treated very abusive, and first paid in advance then a room would be allotted else go to some other hotels. Corporate bookings shall not pay in advance for booking, we book it and pay during checkout, if this basic sense is not with the front office manager, then i think hotel has a wrong person. I never faced this kind of treatment anywhere. I shall not even recommend this hotel to any of our clients in future.

Very well maintained hotel, staff was courteos and our stay was very pleasant. We took suite Room and it top class. The food at the restaurant also very good.. the hotel is slightly away from the beach thats the only downside but for all remaining things 5 starsss from my side..

I have been in the first floor and my colleagues were in the second floor, got little disturbed by Pub music which is on the top floor, felt Bass effect whole night, we couldn't sleep well. Overall it's so elite and first class with all Secureness.
