Hotel Danaa Orchid - Hotel in Puducherry - Pondicherry, India

Pathetic stinky rooms. Worst beds, no hygiene at all

Never visit this place. It's a fraud, shabby very unorganised hotel. The behaviour of the front desk guy was extremely rude and they charged an extra amount for a couple of hours and did not provide the bill.

The rooms are spacious. The price reasonable. You have privacy. Clean beds Close to a 2 wheeler bike rental. Located next to the bus stand. The move in and exit is seamless. The locality is at a reasonable distance from tourists sites. A few things that were unsatisfactory: Room 111 Heater did not work. No toiletries were provided. The window in room 111 is broken.

We visited so many hotel for room but either room were full or the condition of room was so bad. Then we found this one . It has a neat and clean room and have separate room for AC and Non-AC(Only difference is you will get AC and may use TV in AC room). But room conditions and structure are same for AC and Non-AC. There is one negative feedback: He charges Rs100 more at the time of check-out for cleanliness. That was not mentioned at the time of check-in. So please make sure of timing and all charges. Additional Info- Extra member can stay in a double room but you have to pay 300- 400 per member. There will be some language confusion while talking to receptionist as he doesn't comunicate in English or Hindi properly. I tried to give 4* but overall experience was good so I'll go with 5*. You may give a try with that budgets (1200 for Non-AC, 1500 for AC with GST). This may varry as per demand. We have seen that one also.

Not a Value for price hotel. Except hot water nothing is there. Bathroom Ambience and cleanliness is at its worst. Better to carry mosquito repellent otherwise one will not get sleep for atleast 10 mins. Don't expect any facilities except one room with just beds..

The rooms are good and keeping average stand for tourist. We should inform hotel staff for power on the AC and hot water because those main switches are outside. Newspaper will get on morning time and mineral water is available and it is chargeable.

Room is ok. It's spacious but on cleanliness could be improved much better. Ok for a overnight stay

I felt like the amount that they are charging is bit high. From my perspective the people who are traveling to pondicheri for having liquor they can choose this rooms as like other rooms in pondicheri there is no restrictions for liquor here but don't expect that you can make noise here because your sound will be going out of your room and will make harassment for the remaining people who are staying there . The main issue they o felt is the drinking water they are providing is not sealed one because we orderd one bottle of drinking water we got it in a Aquafena bottle with Sprite cap so they are filling the water from somewhere band providing us but I can tell after drinking that water we didn't got any fever or anything but still those who check all this things please inform reception to provide sealed water. Another advantage is pondicheri bus stand is nearby only so you can reach there easily . You will get both AC and Non AC rooms here.
