Hotel Ayushman - Hotel in Puducherry - Pondicherry, India

The rooms are having a pungent smell. The toilet was not clean. The flush was not working properly. The bedsheets and towels in room seen old and used. Also the TV in room was not working. There was a big hole in the ceiling. They don't provide proper service by ask for tips we are leaving. Poor customer service and hospitality. Won't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Located in easily accessible area. They need to keep regular and professional house keeping person. Bedsheets and towels not cleaned Properly. There is foul and pungent in the room. It's necessary to improve quality of service.

They are not maintaining rooms properly... we have stayed at 2 days... but there is no room service... more mosquitos are there... parking also too small for both hotel and bar and restaurant... even though they are not providing mineral water for rooms... we have to go downside and take water from the reception

The rooms are spacious and the location is just on the highway. Pondicherry being a small place there is no problem getting to the hotel or going somewhere. When we were there, there was no facility for hot water, we had to ask for a heating rod whenever we wanted to take bath. It could be an issue when you come late and want to take bath. Overall the hotel rooms are good, staff is polite but not the best.

Ok stay...was able to manage since was on solo ride..would not recommend for family...parking gets really packed due to bar..

Stayed in 2 AC rooms with family between 27th - 29th Jan 2023. Location is the only plus point for this hotel. Otherwise it is a pretty run down old building, lifts/corridors stink like hell, dirty bedsheets, broken door handles, broken intercom telephone, broken bucket (can you imagine??), broken cupboards etc. Room AC performance was ok and so was the complimentary breakfast. Pls note - "There is no hot water/geyser provision, they may at most promise a heating rod, that too they have only 2/3, if you are lucky you may get 1, otherwise a cold bath is what it will be". TV does not work since the remotes (in both rooms) were broken. The parking area is behind the building and was kind of ok. Staff is very very laid back and don't seem to bother at all. Overall, this place is like just what they charge - below average. It is better to spend 400/500 more per night and go to a better place. This place surely does not want to improve.

Clean and neat place. They charge nominal compared to the other inns. The staff are cordial. The building is one of the older inns away from the French colony. The best service you can get for the prices they offer. You may rent a vehicle/scooter to travel around. The taxi fares are quite high in here. The reception will help you get it.

The only reason I am giving 1 star because there is no way to add 0 stars for my review. Highly not recommended unless you are fond of sleeping with the cockroaches and the lingering smell of alcohol and alcoholics. This is a bar and a lodge, do not confuse this with a hotel. We stayed there, as a couple, looking at other reviews in this hotel on the night we reached to pondicherry. The non AC room was full of cockroaches and mites. The bed had a few roaming over them. Not recommended at all for anyone who cares about hygiene. Look for other places! I'd suggest, if your in a budget, go for Ravi Kishan Hotel.
