Anand Bhavan conveniently situated near the Club Mahindra Puducherry is a true delight. It boasts an impressive array of breakfast options that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Our mornings were eagerly anticipated as we knew we'd be visiting Anand Bhavan without fail. Their signature dish, iddiyapam, is a culinary masterpiece that you absolutely should not miss when you dine here. This charming eatery has truly mastered the art of serving delicious South Indian breakfast with a warm and inviting ambiance.

Tried this place a few times so this is the cumulative review. This is very well renowned pure veg restaurant in this locality and is frequented by college goers and highway crowd alike. So it goes without saying that you'll have to wait for a table in peak hours. Parking is plenty though. Food South Indian fare is a staple here. Sambar is nice. We tried that ghee roast dosa and it was very well done with different chutneys. We also tried the wheat parotta - A little too doughy for my taste but the kurmas were absolutely lip smacking. That's two kurmas - mix veg, and Chole. Both brilliant. Chat items - great pav bhaji and cutlet. Yet to try the rest but I'm pretty sure they're great too. North Indian - we tried the butter naan and paneer butter masala. Both as good as any dhaba. Tangy masala and well cooked naans. Rice - Sambhar rice was very good. You also get a veg fry with it, and so was the mushroom Biryani. Nice hyderabadi style Dum Biryani. We tried the veg fried rice and noodles which were also perfect. The pepper was subtle too and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Quantity of all these was on the lighter side. Starters were decent portioned and tasty too. A tip for the management - no doubt this is crowded at peak hours, but it's very badly managed. Waiting area and a dedicated person for crowd management will help. Your waiters are busy at is and it comes off like they're not helpful. Not their fault.

It was an okayish experience in anandha bhavan. I came after seeing so much reviews here in Google maps. But food was just bland and okay okay. I would suggest, you can try some other place for lunch and dinner. We were super hungry but when the saapadu arrived, I was lik what the hell is this. Worst sweet corn soup ever tasted.

The owner of this hotel should know the taste of Veg Meals. Its really worst taste i ever had in Veg Restaurant. Get heavy tension because of their taste, if this hotel owner seeing this review means please reconsider yourself to run in the name of Veg Restaurant. If you are running this hotel for money motive means all the best, but if you feel like running this hotel for Customer Satisfaction means plz plz close it. Waste of money Rice not good, sambar taste worst, karakulambi (chai), I think i should stop this review otherwise some bad words will come out of my mouth.

The place was crowded but we soon got a table and ordered for meal for two which had rice,sambar, beetroot sabji, sabudana kheer,papad and pickle....food was average but good quantity

Very tasty food. During this Corona pandemic time, they following the exact procedure which government said. Hygienic food. Toilet is very clean. Dosa, idly, momo, Paratha, fried rice all are good. Raj kachori also good. Don't order stuffed parata, not good.

One of the best hotels in the outskirts of pondicherry......best place to eat veg food and all the breakfast items were too good....ambience was too gud in the AC hall....we have tried dosa varieties, chola Puri and mini idli....everything were gud

+ Parking available , some covered parking also there + Accessible on the main road + Both AC and non AC sections available + Toilets are clean - food taste is below average - quantity of curries / rice / noodles served is less for the price paid per serving - AC section is not properly cooled. Requires fans to do some of that job. - Management is not attentive to feedback about taste of food.
