Don't book the hotel just for the location.. That's not the best location as well. They (room service)just grab the tips from my hands while the manager is watching.. and interesting part is we just stayed a night.. 7pm checkin and 9am checkout.. find a better one if possible..
Very good location in the valley of Gulistaan. One can lost in the paradise on earth to watch the picturesque landscape green in autumn or snowy in winter. Hospitality is the best in it's class.

The only best thing about this hotel is the location... prices does not match the services and rooms. It is worst than a Dharamshala .. the staff is very high headed not professional at all ... if you are planning to make a reservation pls assure that you carry tooth pastes, tooth brushes, shampoo and conditioner. They dont provide dinner in the room. Paid 7000 for a small Dharamshala type of room with bad room services ... highly disappointed .. please clear everything before booking .. avoid if you want a happy and peaceful trip.
This was my 3rd visit to Kashmir and all my three visits I choose to stay at Hotel Affarwat at Gulmarg The location of Hotel Affarwat is one of the best..the view from hotel window is Amazing.. Our host Mr Sajjad was so soft spoken, welcoming n polite.. The rooms were very Cozy, Clean and Comfortable.. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the service provided to us was very satisfactory. The food served at the buffet was of very good quality and tasty..The staff at the food counter provided their best service to us. Over n All the Hotel staff worked hard to make their customers feel comfortable n happy. I would highly recommend my friends n family Hotel Affarwat Stay at Gulmarg.
Great location and good service. Rooms comes with heater and electric blanket, so no worries in minus degrees of cold. Overall awesome stay
Very nice place for a stay, with a central heating system. Every single staff are very cordial and helpful. Food is another attraction of the place. The view from Mountain view rooms are beyond imagination. We just loved it.
