This place is out of the world.. between nowhere.... isolated place... complete peace..gives vibes of Haunted haveli in movies...property is very old but well maintained... Good if you want to a visit British time house. You can feel the colonial era in the interiors....road is not so good though..2 kms from mian road..Food is good...service is good.. over-all a good experience
Heritage bungalow with Himalayan views in a nice setting. Definitely worth a visit/stay if you prefer old world charm. The way to this heritage hotel leads you into a jungle and you cross a small stream and finally a tunnel of Ringals (local variety of dwarf bamboo trees) before you find yourself in the front garden.
Everything about this property is vintage, be it the building or the wall paper in the dining hall. The rooms, suites, cottages, furniture will take you to a different era. However, property needs upgradation so as to make you feel more welcome. Rates are on little higher side as compared to other similar properties in the area which are better maintained/upgraded.
Very good place to stay in. Worth staying here when you are in hill station.
This place is surrounded by lush green forest. The moment you reach here, you start feeling a connect with mother nature. You will get to stay in well maintained huts, relish delicious food and experience a lot of peace. The courteous staff members will ensure that you enjoy every moment of stay here. The approach road to this place is a 2.5 kms narrow road through the forest, which looks really adventurous. Overall a safe and peaceful property, ideal for a perfect holiday.
Well well well...
This resort is just one awesomely lovely place.
First of all, it is secluded with about 2.5 kms of off road inside a hill surrounded by jungle.
Nothing more lovelier than staying out off the hustle and bustle. Day and night both are so quiet that it makes your stay lovely and peaceful.
It has kids area, swings, tennis court, carom board, pool table for enjoyment.
Jungle huts are very nice. They call it log huts and seriously nice huts to stay. Every hut has a small lawn area in front of it to sit and relax.
Food is awesome and actually famous throughout Ranikhet. People often come here to have lunch.
Besides this, it has a way to a lovely 3.4 kms of trek to Apple Orchard. Trekking one side of 3.4 kms takes about an hour to reach and one can feel and enjoy the way having woods, trees and lovely trek.
Staff are courteas, very helpful, super fast service and always available for help. They serve you food with so much love that taste becomes double nice.
They have nice open parking space.
They have WiFi support. Network issues are there but who goes to take calls so its a blissful thing :)
I will give it a full 5 star rating. Must stay for everyone.
It's a beautiful stay nestled in the middle of jungle. The service and the food are amazing. You could literally wake up to the birds chirping with the view of Himalayas. Would definitely stay again when I'm in Ranikhet.
The place is amazing, only problem is that it is far from main road.. it's like 2.5 km drive from main road which is like off roading and no lights. So in night it becomes very difficult. Also no other shops /food court accessible from this place. So you are totally dependent on hotels food. If you are ok with this 2, it is pure heaven. As name suggest it's a heritage kind of structure.. big gardens, very well maintained rooms, WiFi at lobby. Also, no internet or network at hotel so come prepared to stay time with yourself and family.
This place is in the middle of forest, 2.5 kms from the main road. Though it is near Ranikhet Army Cantonment, it is secluded, with a few local houses nearby. The morning mosque calls for prayers can be heard from a distance. You might also hear gunshots from the Army Firing Range nearby. The local barracks instructions to its inmates and some Hindi patriotic songs broadcast through loud speakers faintly echo in the mountains.
The employees, about 15 in number, are warm and welcoming. They are prompt in responding to the requests of guests and the cook can make different dishes in record time. Since there was no other guest when I visited, I could see the entire property. The owner, Sri Himanshu Upadhyay, lives in front of the property, in a bungalow. The employees were kind to get me medicines even on the local Lok Sabha election day. Mr Rup Singh was prompt in his service, and always asked what more could be done. There are two dogs--mixed breeds, of Bhutia and others, and a sweet cat.
One can see different kinds of birds all the time. There are swings, a see-saw, and a slide. There is a tennis court with a basketball hoop, a table tennis table, and a snooker table. They also have a small library and some historic photographs and souvenirs from the life of the father and grandfather of the owner.
One can take a trek to the nearby village or to Chaubatia garden. The landscaping is nice, offers different locations for sitting and relaxing, and is well lit at night. There is the main building with six suites, a nearby cottage, and many huts. The cottage, called the Orchid Cottage, is lovely and offers great privacy. The huts are smaller, and the suites in the main building are spacious and most have a private balcony.
Food is tasty, the filtered water is good, every accommodation has a geyser, and a television. Food is served wherever you want, and also in the restaurant, more like a dining hall. You can see some Himalayan peaks, the photos of which are displayed as a guide.
