Hill Top Swiss Cottage - Hotel in Rishikesh - Tehri Garhwal, India

We stayed in this hotel for 20 days. The location is unbeatable: there is a calm that is difficult to find in the city. The facilities are very beautiful and with good views. The staff is very attentive and pleasant, they attended to all our needs quickly and always with a smile on their faces. Highly recommended!

Overall an average experience but value for money and the location was good. Positives: The food at the nearby Oasis restaurant was excellent. Location is walking distance from major spots if you can walk up/downhill. However, the negatives: hotel itself is a 10 minute walk from the Tapovan auto/Battery rickshaw stand. If you can't climb up a hill of 500 meters from the main road, avoid staying here. Even if you prearrange with a driver (unlikely) to drop you near the hotel, there's a minim 200-300 meter climb up a hill and stairs to reach their lobby. To their credit the hotel arranged a scooty for one person drop out of our group of 8. We had to ask them to replace the sheets as they weren't clean but were replaced promptly upon complaint. Room service wasn't offered but had to be asked for. Great views from the rooms and terrace and the rooms were spacious.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Worst place I've ever stayed! And I've travelled the world and lived in many countries. I couldn't trust the owner - many lies and problems with my room. It felt unsafe for solo female. Beware of Veer the owner, or so he calls himself. Also things he can knock or come to your room whenever he wants. We exchanged numbers about the noise but he was messaging me at 12:30 to say good night and he is going to bed. hours and hours after we spoke about the room. So unprofessional and creepy. And wifi, It worked 10 mins a day. Left my booking early - soooo happy I did! It's not that quiet here at all. You can hear a lot of noice in hallway and other rooms. Depends what room you get. Deluxe room I booked but it had a water pump running every minute that was very very loud. Front deck doesn't speak much for communication. No assistance- it's like they understand but didn't care. My first night I asked them about a loud noise I was hearing 5-6 times. I couldn't sleep with the noise. I was downgraded it was horrible , bathrooms moldy and hallway stinks like cigarettes. I LEFT! Be prepared to carry your bags up a hill. There are so many other quiet places in town. Just stay away from the main road. Veer the owner acts like a real criminal. Fraud and false promises in the other comments are very true. Be careful. Extreme lack of professionalism and general care for guest.

Extremely bad experience of hill top Swiss Cottage. Not good room service, not good room conditions. We booked a deluxe room for 2 days. The air conditioner was working but the remote of the AC was not provided, how to manage temperature. Cockroaches were in the fridge. Broken almirah, leaked water bottles. Please don't waste your money. Near this property there are many good cottages. You can go for that.

No parking space and avoid if you are using your persona vehicle. Rooms and staff is good, however be ready to walk a lot to reach this hotel from the main road. Only because of lack of parking and too much walk from the main road, I won't recommend this. However, the hotel rooms and staff is good

This cottage was the best thing that happened to us during our stay in Rishikesh. Location wise it's 1min walking distance from the auto stand, top attractions are very near by auto. The hotel itself has options of private taxi / rental Scooty which is upon your wish. The ambience of the place is soothing, surrounded by cute cafes, yoga centre, live music and most importantly well maintained. Yes there is little climb to the room since it's on a hill, but the staff helps you. The food being extremely delicious and room service staff go one extra mile to assist you at any time. We had booked spectacular couple room for 3 people and also were provided hassle free extension as we decided to stay longer. Our river rafting and sight seeing activities were managed well by the hotel manager Mr Vinod who was kind and very polite. Overall highly recommended for stay in Rishikesh. Our stay in Rishikesh was greatly enhanced by staying in this peaceful spot. The views from our room were great, overlooking the village, The Valley and the mountains. Room and toilet neat and clean. We will definitely refer friends to stay here.

It's nice place to stay. I stay in deluxe Room and it is very specious just needs to maintain bathroom tap was leaking and bathtub having stain. All over good experience to stay here,". You can get vehicle in rent here and book adventure activities and yoga too
