My family and I stayed over for 1 day and the experience was truly magical. The rooms are a cozy and the staff is extremely hospitable. Felt very safe and cared for. Highly recommend!!!!
For the price you are paying for this hotel first and foremost Wifi does not work at all times. In fact it does not work at all. We had to survive with our data pack. Secondly the food quality is okay. However the options in the menu is very limited and compared to the price you are paying for the items in the menu portion is very small and little. The biggest disadvantage of this hotel is the heating system. Yes they have traditional fireplace however the fire goes off every 2 hrs so when you visit in winters its very difficult to keep calling the room service and have the fire lit again and again. Breakfast included in the booking also is very limited with 2 or 3 options available only. Overall it is just hyped and over rated. Everything is damn expensive e.g 1 cup of tea is 250 plus charges. Yes it is a decent and naturally beautiful location however it is upto you if you want to pay the amount just because bobby movie (rishi kapoor and dimple kapadia 's song ) was shot here. Over all it is a mediocre place with over exaggerated reviews and hype.
The Gulmarg Legacy hotel. Great location. Service is traditional and slow but enjoyable. Staff was very friendly and came always to help. Bit pricey but Gulmarg is pricey in general. Food was moderate, but expensive. 4 star service with 5 star prices. Great to walk around the property and also in the valley. Very close to the Gondola ride.
We had lunch there. Good, service, ambience-everything was perfect The view itself is worth it, add to it the food . One of the best mutton dishes ever had in my life. Try the mirchi mutton korma with rice. It's out of this world The Washroom was super clean. Worth every penny, don't miss while visiting to Gulmarg

One of the very best hotels in Gulmarg which is known for its legacy and close connection with bollywood.! The best room in the hotel is known as 'Bobby Suit' and the film Bobby was shot here also. The suit we stayed was just below the category of Bobby Suit and it is very spacious, elegant and full of special features. It has a dual fire place fueled by firewood (handled by exclusive personal wallet assigned to the guests) The suit has two washrooms and one of them has a nice bathtub. The restaurant doesn't boast of an elaborate menu. Nevertheless it has some Kashmiri delicacies and some Pan Indian items like butter chicken, tandoori, Kadai veg etc. The breakfast is not buffet type. Dishes will cost from 700 to 1k per plate. One of the main attractions of the hotel is it's common dining / socialising area. It's bedected with some rare artefacts, photographs of dignitaries and film stars visited in the past and a very nice funnel like fireplace. The view of the mountains from the hotel premises is unparelled. A good room will cost you 15 to 20k and suits will cost around 27k per night inclusive of taxes.
