Herohalli Lake - Lake in Bengaluru - Bengaluru Urban, India

Herohalli lake is a dirty green lake - water quality looks pretty bad with lots of plastic wastes floating on the sides of the lakes. Lake has a nice tree covered paved walkway and is a good place for your morning/evening walk. Lots of birds can be spotted in and around the lake - pelican, painted stork, spot billed duck, little Grebes, Eurasian coots, Grey headed swamphen, peacocks, egrets, herons, Cormorants etc. Hope better efforts can be put in to cleaning up and improving the water quality of this lake.

Here everything needs to be managed properly. Smelly area, you've let the drainage line next to the lake? Pathetic management. Having such a huge circumference park, no proper cleanliness. Half of the place is haunted, the other half is smelly. When it rains the front gate is filled with water and looks like a drainage swimming pool.

Nice place for morning / evening walk in the lakeside the walking track is very neat with the flower plants at the corners and have plenty of seatings to rest

I think the fact that they restored this lake back a few years ago was an achievement for the local authorities. I really doubt they'll work towards maintaining this lake, as that would require a lot more money than required to maintain it (given the selfless nature of the local authorities). As you go around the lake for a walk, there is a section where it reeks like death, a great place to practice holding your breath for longer times to you all guinness aspirants. It has also become an innate breeding ground for dogs, which is okay given that they are innocent little beings.

Beautiful lake at this location.. for walk and Jogg. Still improvement is need towards the clean and walk paths...

Good place to take morning walk/jog. One complete round is nearly 1.6km.
